Party of 2 checking in at different times?

Hi, We are from the UK, and this year DS has the wonderful opportunity of working in a Youth Camp over the Summer. This means that on our arrival day at Disney, we will arrive at different times, as DS will already be in the US, and my flight from the UK doesn't land until early evening. I am...

    Under age drinking ?

Thank you ! I didn't realise it was that strict. I'm glad I asked - and we will not risk getting caught. The alcoholic beverages can wait until he's 21 - it gives us a reason to visit Disney again :)

    Under age drinking ?

DS is 19, and as we are from the UK has been able to drink alcoholic beverages for the past year. I understand that the drinking age in the US is 21. We are going to be in Disney during the F&W this year and we are looking forward to sampling the different foods around the world. My question...

Question for "Ladies of a certain age"

Thank you - as always the DIS community has some really useful ideas and tips to share.:worship: I now feel a lot more confident about being able to cope in the heat, and I am going to investigate those cooling towels. I just wish it wasn't so obvious when I am having a 'moment' unfortunately...

Question for "Ladies of a certain age"

Hi I'm embarrassed to admit that I've reached that age where I now experience 'Hot flushes', 'Personal summers','Power surges' or whatever else you choose to call those moments that overcome the more mature lady. As a consequence, I do not cope with the heat as easily as I used to. I...

35% off at Cique du Soleil

Thank you !!! :thumbsup2 We really wanted to see this show again - but I felt it was too expensive on top of all our holiday costs. However - I've now got tickets for the 17th August - thanks to this discount, and I'm going to try and keep it a secret and surprise my Son on the day. He...

    On arrival

I totally agree with Geoff - we're from the UK, and our 1st evening always involves a quick trip to Downtown Disney. Yes, we are usually tired after the long journey - but this gives us a quick 'Disney fix' and also helps us to trick our minds and bodies into accepting the time difference...

    Breakfast at OKW?

Hi We're thinking of going to OKW next August - I've checked out the restaurant details, and there doesn't appear to be a quick service breakfast at the resort. Am I missing something ? Or would we have to breakfast in the Parks if we stayed at OKW? Thanks

What food here reminds you of there?

Embarrasingly - Green Beans. because they are one of the staple vegatables served in the Disney restaurants, my son now refers to them as 'Disney Beans'

    Disney characters associated with States

Hi DS and I will be at WDW next month  We are fascinated by the all the different States, and intend to try and meet a CM from every US State. To help us with our 'quest' I've designed a set of cards containing some general information about each State, and we will invite CM's to...

How do CM's get people out of parks at closing time?

This thread brought back a very fond memory for me. DS and I were leaving MK late one evening, and were discussing this very thing, so I suggested he ask a CM. So DS approached a CM near the exit, and asked "How do you get all the people out of the park?" Quick as a wink, the CM said...

    Correct terminology for States

I was trying to work out what our equivalent to a State is, when I started on the project. I would suggest that it is England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland that makes up the UK, as there are some slight differences to how they are governed - which I believe mirrors the States...
