Which Villlage do the buses stop first at CBR

Depending on the entrance (CBR has two) used, Jamaica or Martinique will be the first stops. We always request Jamiaca when staying at the CBR but just for the overall location/section/etc not just the bus stop.

BWI Garden Suite vs. BWV 1 Bedroom? Which Would You Choose?

Hmm tough call! I guess each has it's pros and cons. I love the layouts of of the 1-bedroom villas and having two balconies, especially if they were to overlook the Boardwalk itself. I like the bathroom/bedroom set up better, with the tub opening up to the bedroom. I enjoy the cozy feeling...

    Vaule Resorts

Slight Sidenote: Seahunt that is one of the cutest signature pics I've ever seen! Too cute! I'm going to send another vote for All Star Music. Last year my mom and I (no men either!) stayed at Pop Century in January and All Star Music in Sept. We LOVED All Star Music! We booked a preferred...

The *NEW* Grand Floridian Resort and Spa FAQ thread (Nov 2007)

Ok.. so in a matter of two days and 90 pages later.. I went from the GF putting an "awkward taste in my mouth" to putting a giddy smile on my face anytime I think about my upcoming stay there  I'm requesting dormer/higher floor in Sago Cay due to the location and room views. It...

    Room Upgrades...a better chance

There's no "forumla" to getting an upgrade... It can depend on a variety of reasons, everything from your CM checking you in's mood, your check-in date and time, occupency levels, to resorts and room categories being overbooked. I've always felt more comfortable booking with Disney as I do...

Reality Check -- Poly really worth $400 a night?

I always look at it like this... where could the money I saved go to? At $200 a night for 7 nights, thats a savings of $1400... and where would you rather put that money to... towards a resort or towards other activites for your trip? For instance, we were debating whether to pay the $750 for...

The *NEW* Grand Floridian Resort and Spa FAQ thread (Nov 2007)

Thanks for your response Tinkaroo! I noticed your GV pictures on the "room picture" sticky thread and loved the view you recieved in Conch Key. I think we're going to request a dormer room in Conch Key and Sago Cay and just keep our fingers crossed. Do you know if the marina/lagoon side of Conch...

The *NEW* Grand Floridian Resort and Spa FAQ thread (Nov 2007)

I'm in some seriously need of help ladies... There was always one resort that I swore I would never stay at... the Grand Floridian... *dramatic music*... I know.. I know! I've never once stepped foot on resort grounds but at the same time I never had a single desire to. Maybe it was the...

    Boardwalk - "Water" view/Concierge Question

This is definately a concern about mine too! I really like the Boardwalk in regards to a "romantic getaway" resort but was especially interested in a room overlooking the boardwalk. I've read both accounts as well, rooms can either have a pool or lake view. This was particularly upsetting...

Which Poly longhouse for garden view?

We got what we consider to be a great garden location on our last stay: Rarotonga, 3rd floor w/balcony, facing the quiet pool Rarotonga is "adjacent" to the Grand Ceremonial House which allowed for easy access to the Monorail, Captain Cooks, O'hanas, Kona, and the arcade. It also allowed for...

Feeling overwhelmed, can you help with a starting point?

I always quote my trip via CRO/Disneyworld.com first so I know what my starting point is and I use that as my foundation. I'd then call AAA and see what they quote you and how that compares to your original quote. I know that you can get a decent AAA package price and if you hop over to the...

    party of 12 accomodations

A value resort would be a great place to start for financial reasons. Your family could book a Family Suite at All Star Music that will comfortably sleep 6 people with plenty of space to spread out and even 2 bathrooms. It's more affordable than the villas. Your extended family could then...

    Room requests

I've learned that "requests" on reservations are almost pointless to us. In January of last year I made two notations on my reservation, close to main building, 3rd floor and adjoining rooms with reservation #. The other reservation had a notation of king bed and adjoining rooms with reservation...

    Recent info on ASMU?

There are a good amount of tables lining the entire pool deck on both sides and ends. The offer a good amount of direct shade too! Depending on the time of day, you'll also run into the issue of shade at the main pool provided by the building shadows of Buildings 1 and 2. Overall we found...

ASMu - take towels or not?!

We picked up a couple of beach towels through Disneyshopping.com at some great discounted prices. They're not the best material (not the thick and fluffy ones) but got the job done! They folded nicely and we used them to "line" the bottom of our suitcases so they didn't take up too much room...

Anyone stay at a Family Suite?

If you go under the Resort FAQ Thread sticky at the top of this Resort Forum you'll find a thread created by Linda specifically for the All Star Music Family Suites. I can't speak from personal experience but I'm already sold on these after staying in a standard room at ASmu! Check out...

    Recent info on ASMU?

After our stay at ASmu, we have no desire to ever return to a moderate! We loved the new rooms, everything from the furniture to the decor to the new bedding and bed spreads. We thought the two-toned walls were a nice touch and overall the room felt like a true Disney Resort and not a motel...

How would you compare the size of ASMU to POFQ?

We were at ASmu in September and POFQ in May of 2002... To us, POFQ is in fact bigger with larger walking distances from rooms farthest from the main building. ASmu had more of "Magic Kingdom" layout: Main Building, Calypso, and Jazz making up Mainstreet, the piano pool as the hub, Rock...

    Birthdays and the resorts...

The Birthday button is SO worth it and heck.. it's free... no harm in him wearing it! We've restarted the tradition of going to Disney on my Birthday (9/11) and last year had an absolute blast. I wore my button on the 9th, 10th, and 11th.. yes I admitt I cheated. Anywhere I went... I got a...
