Non Disney Cruise for Honeymooners-which would you choose?

In my opinion, I'd pick Celebrity or RCCI. I've been on all of those particular lines, hubby and I are I our 40's. We've done quite a lot of cruising and Celebrity was the nicest for us (did a transatlantic and a Christmas Caribbean cruise, both quite nice but completely different vibes). We...

    Other Mothered - Disney Edition

Oh mylanta! I'm so sorry you're dealing with this! Ugh! We all have encountered these types, they are usually very insecure people who pride themselves on thinking they can belittle or one-up someone. In my experience, I've dealt with these types by smiling, nodding, uh-huhing everything they...

    Anything for Descendants?

My DD is a big fan too! We saw merchandise throughout the parks but that's about it, unless I missed something. I so wish they had more stuff like that available for the tween/teen crowd like characters and shows and such. Could be such fun! Maybe when the next movie comes out next May?

    Typhoon Lagoon with Young Children

I have a 2 yo and a 10 yo. Typhoon Lgoon was the highlight of my 10 yo's trip. She absolutely loved it. We even stayed at Yacht Club and swam in Stormalong Bay everyday and TL was still such a huge hit with her. With our 2 yo, it was too much. However, there are several things for the younger...

    Cruise line transfer w toddler

You would have to stow a car seat under the bus with the other carry on luggage, strollers, etc. If you used a car service - Happy Limo, for example - you can request a car seat ($7 surcharge, I believe) for your toddler. I have the same situation as you. Used the transfer bus at WDW - no car...

    Nursery ?s for the Dream

I'm planning to book nursery hours for my 2 yo on the Dream. Just a couple of ?s.....should I bring a bag for him - milk, blanket, other supplies? If they are sleepy, do they just put them down for a nap in one of the cribs? I realize these ?s may seem silly, I just wondered if I could could...

    Disembarkment Questions

For our upcoming cruise on the Dream, was wondering if someone could give me advice with disembarking. We are doing using Happy Limo car service for our transport to MCO. My questions are: 1. Can we set our luggage out night before for the ship/porters to handle and still collect in the...

If you don't get a cabana on CC.....

Awesome tips! Thank you!!! I appreciate the pics also. This is good. sounds like if the cabana doesn't work out, at least I can plan a strategy of getting there as early as possible. I'm sure we'll have a great time. We love cruising and one of my favorite things is visiting private...

Just off the Dream! I'll try to help with questions

Good tip, thanks!!!! Do you have any recs for car service? Did you use Happy Limo per chance? (used this once, they were great). I always wondered how much longer it takes the bus than it would be to use other transportation. Sounds like you really saved a lot of time and were able to make...

If you don't get a cabana on CC.....

So, have been reading about the lovely cabanas at Castaway Cay. We have been on 12 + cruises (Mostly RC, Few Celebrity, Carnival & HAL) and finally booked our first DCL cruise. Very excited!!!!!! I realize as first time cruisers with DCL, our likelihood of being able to book a cabana at CC is...

Best Character Breakfast for a 2.5 year old boy

I have to give Cape May Cafe 5 stars. Just was there and loved it. Food had vastly improved in the last 5 years and character interaction was top notch. Not impressed by Tusker House at all except characters. Food was meh and too big and too chaotic. I kinda feel the same way about Chef...

Packing in Reverse - what did you pack that you didn't need

Too many extra clothes - with the exception of toddler's clothes...plus if you really need to do laundry, you can. I think for adults and older kids, better just to take exactly what's needed, maybe an extra pair of socks or something but no need for 3 extra pair of shorts.
