    Fligths from NL

It seems that the flight costs this year seems to be a hot topic. I'm wondering if NLers are finding the same as others that have posted. Last year we went early april and paid $1100 taxes in for two. This year the cheapest flight for the same time period is $1600 taxes in. I don't want to pay...

Corn Bread - Where to Find It

Thanks for the recipe. We will have to try it. We made it once last year with another recipe but it was really dry. Corn bread is not a part of our diet up here at all. I don't think I've ever even seen at on a menu where I live. That is why we so look forward to it when we go to Disney...

Corn Bread - Where to Find It

It was two years ago that we were at Artist Point - I thought corn bread was a part of the bread that was given as a starter. But I could be wrong.

Corn Bread - Where to Find It

HI there - I know this may not be a big deal for some but the only time we can get corn bread is when we are at WDW. And we abolutely love it. Other than Whispering Canyon and Artist Pointe what other restaurants have it? TIA

    Newfoundlanders travelling to WDW.

I've been to WDW many times but never in Sept/Oct time frame. We usually go in April. But from what I've heard Sept/Oct is a good time to go. Smaller lines, less crowded. Have fun planning!

    St. John's Flights

First off - welcome to NL! We travel each year to Orlando, there are two of us. Usually we book on Aeroplan but last year we bought tickets. It cost $1500 for two taxes in at the end of April. My parents paid $1700 to go down last January. This year we are booked again for April but managed to...

New here. Who did you book through?

Another vote for Fairy Tale Dreams and Destinations. I cannot say enough about the service and the knowledge they have. When we were delayed by two days in getting down to Disney in 2007 - FDD took very good care of us and handled everything with Disney. Plus its a Canadian company.Using this TA...

Help with songs with Canadian content/theme

Here is one song - 8:30 Newfoundland (This is our Home) by Mike Plume. Don't be fooled by the title it is not just a song about NL (although I do think the title is great!) Here is the link to it on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpMdwDL6xrY

Duty Free with a connecting Flight

Thanks rewok - your first example is what I was looking for. I wasn't sure if we could put the duty free in our checked luggage or not. I thought we checked our luggage then went through duty-free.

Duty Free with a connecting Flight

On our flight to Orlando, we have a stopover at Regan National. Are we able to buy alcohol at the duty free in Toronto? It seems that we have to go through security again at Regan, but I'm not sure. US airports seem to have a security checkpoint for different gates. They don't seem to be like...

    Canadian DISer's Book Club - October 2008

My mom picked up Heart and Soul as soon as it was available at Costco and then passed it on to me. Fantastic read!! Without giving anything away, if you've ever wondered what happened to previous characters like the twins, you'll find out in this book.

Two Adults on the DDP - Where would you eat?

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I've looked at the menus on all ears - there are just so many places to eat it is over whelming. I'm thinking about O'Hana's for supper (I don't want to be there when Stitch is there- not a fan!!). Also considering Corel Reef - the reviews seem to be more positive...
