Marvel Day at Sea on last day of cruise?

Thanks, and I’ve now looked at some of the recent navigators as well. It’s a shame there’s no Til We Meet Again event on this itinerary but it otherwise looks like the Marvel day has everything same as the “normal” itineraries where it falls in the middle of the cruise. I know that Shutters...

Marvel Day at Sea on last day of cruise?

Thanks for the update, hope you had a great cruise! My question was more about the Til We Meet Again show/character greeting in the lobby atrium, typically at 10 p.m. or so on the last night. Where the whole theater cast comes out for farewell. Did they not have that offered on this cruise, or...

Marvel Day at Sea on last day of cruise?

Yes, this year is the first year they’re doing it on the last day, only on select Bahamas itineraries. I believe the current cruise is the first one to do it, so hopefully someone will be able to share their experience soon!

Marvel Day at Sea on last day of cruise?

Does anyone know how it will work for the cruises that have Marvel Day at Sea on the final day of the cruise? Will they not have the usual last night activities like Til We Meet Again? Or will those be done the second to last night? Will the Marvel activities be the same as the other cruises...

    Golden Mickeys Dream

Not true. 7 night cruises used to always have both a welcome aboard and a farewell show that featured production numbers with the mainstage cast along with short/preview acts from the variety entertainers. Even many 5 night cruises have had the welcome show, or sometimes one of the extra shows...

    Marvel Costume Celebration Video?

Does anyone have a link to video of the Costume Celebration that they do in the Atrium for Marek Day at Sea cruises? I'd like to get a better idea of what it's like, and I can't find a video online anywhere. Thanks!

No 4th of July characters this year?

Wow, sounds like it was a fleet-wide change this year to have no special 4th of July costumes. I'm guessing that also means they've discontinued the "Flag Waving American" song and dance number they've done each year for a very long time. That's pretty disappointing and surprising. Doesn't seem...

    Marvel characters on the Dream

You can check past navigators to get an idea. Spiderman, Captain America and Black Widow often make appearances on the Wonder. Some Marvel characters occasionally appear on the Magic even outside of the Marvel cruises. On the Fantasy, you can sometimes meet Thor or Doctor Strange during kids...

No 4th of July characters this year?

One more bump for anyone off the Fantasy yesterday. Thanks!

No 4th of July characters this year?

Bump - anyone recently off the ships that can confirm this?

No 4th of July characters this year?

Based on twitter and instagram comments, it appears that neither the Dream or the Fantasy had the characters in special costumes for the 4th of July this year. As people return from these cruises, can anyone confirm this? What about the Magic and Wonder?

Double shows strike again - Wonder in Alaska

Has anyone sailed on the second or third Alaskan cruises of the season? Do we know if the double shows have continued? Also, for anyone on the first sailing, was there any explanation for the frozen deck party being moved to the third night instead of fourth? I believe the original sailing...

    Double Shows in the Med

Compare the number of character meets on a night with Golden Mickeys to the number of character meets on a night with a variety act in the WDT. Especially on the Magic/Wonder that have a smaller cast than the big ships.

    Double Shows in the Med

This, 1000x this. If the mainstage performers (and stage crew, and costumers, and techs, and cruise staff ushers, etc) are doing six nights of full production shows, there will no doubt be impacts to other things around the ship. Characters being high on that list. Without mainstage cast to...

    Double Shows in the Med

Great point, there's no way they had this cast rehearse OUAS if they weren't going to be performing it most of the summer. That would be the opposite of cost savings. Clearly they intend to have it on future sailings, so that's hopeful for Med cruisers. Perhaps they're just continuing to...

    Alaska 2018 reports?

Anyone just back from the first Alaska cruise of the season? Do you have navigators you can post? Were the activities similar to prior years? Any surprises or changes worth noting? Thanks!

Double shows strike again - Wonder in Alaska

I can't see those, but are you sure that's not the Frozen deck party instead of the theater show? That timing matches with the usual schedule of the deck party.

Double shows strike again - Wonder in Alaska

I just don't get why they won't do matinees for Frozen. Especially on these 7 night cruises with sea day options. I sort of get it for the Dream 3-4 night cruises, with the crowding issues B&B has been having. But it makes zero sense to repeat shows on a 7 night with sea day / matinee...

Double shows strike again - Wonder in Alaska

So it's better that everyone has fewer choices, rather than you choosing which night you'd like to "have off" from the obligation of going to the shows? Seems to me like if doing other things is something you want to do, just pick a night with the act that interests you least and do that. With...

Double shows strike again - Wonder in Alaska

No, the second days are evening shows, not matinees. The same number of variety acts are onboard (4), but fewer get main stage / evening performances.
