We stayed in AKLV, BWV and BLT in 2011. It helped we were travelling with 4 young adults in their 20's- they are always ready for something new!:rotfl:

We bought in 93 when our kids were 3 and 8 and have gone usually once a year. Now we take our future son-in-law and our other daughter's boyfriend - the 6 of us have a great time! Can't wait to go with grandchildren!

We were lucky enough to have "free park passes" for several years which added to the value we feel we have gotten from DVC.Our daughters enjoyed trips to Disney every year, now we take their boyfriends too.:) We look forward to taking trips just the two of us for extended periods of time...

I've stayed in GVs at both BLT and Jambo AKV- had major housekeeping issues at BLT that will keep me from going back- AKV Jambo as others have said, great pool table but remember you will probably have a long walk to get to your GV.

We were there for New Year's Eve this past year- they had a party around the pool- music,noise makers, etc. We were too tired to take part- too much driving!!

I would agree with 3boymthr- Larson's Quality Inn very nice place to stay- clean and looks out on the battlefield. :)

We joined one last year -got to experience some veggies i might not have bought on my own- love garlic scapes!! This year will be a different CSA one that delivers with my milk and egg order YEAH!:)

Our Jan 2011 trip involved 3 different grand villas: Boardwalk- great views, we had a single level-corner unit- the master bedroom had a window that looked over the boardwalk and one - with a balcony looking out over the entrance area. BLT- nice views but the poor upkeep and wear and tear of...

Stayed in a GV @Jambo in January! The balconies were great! The 4 young adults we were traveling with loved the billards table- but it was a long hike to the lobby! Most of the GVs are located at the very end of the hallways. Never stayed in a Kidani GV- I'm sure which ever one you choose it...

We went 1/1/11-1/8/11, for the first time- I was expecting very low crowds, especially compared to the summer when we usually go. I was surprised about how busy the parks were and then as marathon time got closer it was worse. But at least it wasn't hot:)

Haven't stayed in Kidani Gv- but Jambo was great! Our group included 4 "20 somethings" who loved the billard table. There is also a 4th full bathroom in the villa which was helpful. the only "downside" was the rather long walk down to the end of the hallway where the GVs are located
