When I say your childhood, what's the first thing you think of?

My close knit neighborhood, the Friday night dinner gatherings with neighbors.

Lets talk about Princess Cruise line

I totally agree. DH and I are planning an Alaskan cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary in 3 years. I'm really hoping we can throw in a 3 to 5 day cruise next year to make sure cruising is really for us.

Lets talk about Princess Cruise line

Not really, just curious. I've never been on a cruise before and am just doing research on what to expect.

Lets talk about Princess Cruise line

I understand Princess has multiple ships. Is there really a significant difference between them? How are they different from one another?

Please tell me about the "free" basic food on cruises...

I just assumed the drink package included all drinks not included in the regular price. This is good to know, thanks.

Please tell me about the "free" basic food on cruises...

I don’t drink alcohol, my DH rarely does. I'm mainly think of sodas. I'm not crazy about them, but enjoy them whenever I'm on vacation.

Please tell me about the "free" basic food on cruises...

Is the main dining room buffet style, or do you walk up to different eateries and chose what you want?

Please tell me about the "free" basic food on cruises...

It can be any cruise line. I'm flexible. When DH and I go in three years, I'm sure we'll get the drink package but probably no specialty dining package. But that could change. What restaurants are included in the price? I realize they may vary from different cruise lines. There's the buffet...

    Princess, Holland America or Norwegian.....

Which would you chose to go on a cruise to Alaska (you'll see Glacier Park) and why? I'm thinking about my 25th wedding anniversary with DH in three years. Neither of us has ever been on a cruise before.

    Another Alaska cruise thread

Recently I posted here on Dis that DH and I are planning a cruise to Alaska in three years for our 25th wedding anniversary. A lot of you were quick to recommend going on one that goes to Glacier Bay National Park. After some research, I see that both Princess and Holland Cruise line goes...

what is the worst fall you have ever had?

5 years ago when I was one month pregnant with my DS, but didn't know it. I fell FLAT on my face at a shopping center the Saturday before Christmas in front of hundreds of people, lol. I got up really quick. Then last month, two days after a huge snow storm I took my dog on a walk. Two minutes...

Does Disney really have their OWN cruise line.....

Or is it part of Royal Caribbean or Carnival, etc?? I'm just curious. I've never been on a cruise before.

    Where to eat?

Hungry Bear restaurant right next to Splash Mountain has been a family favorite for over 30 years. We eat there every trip. Their burgers and fries are good. If you want a fancy sit down dinner, the Blue Bayou is nice. Last summer I had the rib eye steak and it was outstanding. But keep in mind...

    Help! First Visit to Disneyland

If you haven't already, I suggest you check out Freshbaked Disney's videos on Youtube. He's the best DL youtuber in my opinion. His videos will tell you everything you need to know about Disneyland.

Poll: How many times have you been to Disney World in the last 10 years?

The first and only, so far, was in 2017. I'm in the planning stages of my next trip there.

For those who've had Hippy Dippy pool view rooms at Pop....

Do you think some good ear plugs would block out the noise? I'm not really one to nap, but DH is. I'm going to try to encourage him to stay home next WDW trip. Before anyone slams me for that, lol, DH isn't into Disney. We go to DL every year, he's always back at the hotel by noon and doesn't...

For those who've had Hippy Dippy pool view rooms at Pop....

I knew, but kind of forgot about it and didn't think to look at it. Thanks for the reminder.

For those who've had Hippy Dippy pool view rooms at Pop....

That's good to know. I don't need complete quiet to rest or nap.

For those who've stayed in basic standard rooms at Pop Century with NO requests.....

Uh oh, I didn't think of that. It doesn't help that I'm afraid of heights when there's a lot of open space around me. The fear isn't bad enough to prevent me from staying at Pop or using the Skyliner. I can just see it now...I'm on the Skyliner and it breaks down. Lol

For those who've had Hippy Dippy pool view rooms at Pop....

What was it like? Did you like it? Pros and cons? Some Disers have said pool view rooms are a nightmare at any resort. Not ideal for people who nap during the day. I'm in the planning stages of my next trip in 2 years. Pop's not set in stone, but there's a very good chance I'll stay there. I'm...
