awesome review. love the details of the trip. i'm actually thinking of trying the YC next year. my kids were so spoiled by the GF (lagoon/castle view) earlier this month, that they are not happy with the thought of trying someplace new. i, however, would like to try another deluxe resort...

we plan on splitting our stay between Unviersal's Royal Pacific and GF. doing Universal first. has anyone ever done this type of split? i'm guessing we will be responsible for moving ourselves.

forgot to ask.. what was your room number at the YC? was it a standard lagoon view?

we were recently in Boca Chica (#8427). we had a private balcony with a wonderful view of the lagoon and the castle. as TammiMcMan noted, all you can do is make the request and keep your fingers crossed. GF is a very beautiful resort and i'm sure you'll be happy with any of the rooms.

We're planning for May 6-14, 2006. starting at Universal and finishing with Disney. waiting for AAA rates/discounts for 2006 before booking. doing all my research and decision making now.
