Two observations about FP from our recent trip

I think we've been at least 15 minutes early for every FP we've gotten. Never had to wait or anything like that.

One day visit to MK on EMH day...

We don't even pay attention to EMH's. We live 2 hours away and drive up on a Saturday whenever the urge hits. Heck, we don't even get there at rope drop! (gasp!!) We even went to AK on Memorial Day weekend and the crowds weren't terrible.

    Rent a car or not

I think it really depends on where you are staying. Until we moved down here, we used the Disney systems and never had a complaint. Now that we are driving regularly, I miss the convenience of the buses - especially at MK!

A day at WDW without park tickets

If all you are doing is a resort visit, I wouldn't pay $20 to park at the TTC. Park at the Poly and walk over to the TTC. And you can drive to any resort and park for a visit. My DH and I have done this several times while collecting pressed pennies.

Just back...the good, the bad, and the tour groups!

We were in Epcot on Saturday and it was my first experience with the tour groups. We heard a few chants and, yeah, I thought they were a bit inappropriate but they're also a group of teens. Not a big deal to me. I noticed that they also tend to have a very different definition of personal space...

Park exit strategies - what is the fastest way out?

I'd use the buses. And just prepare yourself that there will be a wait. There is always a wait and sometimes they are longer at park closing.

Epcot World Showcase Music - and other park music

I'm a big fan of "world" music. Saturday we were at Epcot and as I was taking a break between Norway and China, I was able to really hear the piped in park music. LOVED IT! So, does anyone know the best place to download this music? Also, I love to listen to the live bands at Animal Kingdom...

Need help on changing touring style from commando to not-so-commando

We've never been the commando type so my "plans" for visits are usually pretty simple. I start by picking where we want to have dinners. If, for example, we want to have dinner at 'Ohana, we'll visit the MK that day. It's definitely vacation and we get up whenever and take our time getting ready...

Upgrading a 5 day PH (x2 stays) to AP..

Not sure about the ticket issue, but I'm pretty sure the Memory Maker is not included in the AP, so you wouldn't need to get a refund on that.

    Best Friend Pet Kennel question

My husband and I are finally making the move to Florida and we're so excited! It just so happens that we might be able to go to Disney on our 10th anniversary (we were married at the Boardwalk). We don't want to go to the parks, just a stop at Sea Breeze Point and maybe dinner at Ohana. Problem...

My beautiful girl went to the Rainbow Bridge

Oh Pea...I'm so sorry!! There will always be a place in your heart just for her...but hopefully it won't hurt so much as time and happy memories ease the pain.

    Cheap Eating near HersheyPark?

At the exit off 322 headed toward Hersheypark and the campgrounds, on the right is the Weis market, Kmart, Panera Bread, a Sushi place and a Chinese take-out all within the same strip. Across from them (also on the right) is an Applebees. On the left is the Cocoa Diner (never ate there)...

    Williamsburg, VA in December

I may be a bit biased (lived in the tidewater area for many years) but I think Williamsburg is beautiful any time of year. But Christmas especially. While the colonists didn't do much in the way of celebrations, there are some pretty amazing hand made decorations throughout the historic area...

Has anyone else had enough of this Paula Dean buisness?

Methinks some have read the original complaint: http://www.atlawblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Jackson-v.-Deen-et-al.-Complaint.pdf and have confused it with Ms. Deens actual deposition: http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2013/06/entertainment/deen-deposition/ There's quite a...

Spinoff--Age when you met/dated your spouse

    DNA Testing of Dogs?

I've heard that the tests are not 100% accurate, but can identify a lot of things, maybe even potential health risks. Incidentally, registration of a dog doesn't necessarily speak to the quality of the litter or anything like that. It only indicates that the parents of the pups were...

Passing lane (not really, not everywhere)

And trust me, that's not the way the road was designed either. ;) If a road has two lanes in each direction they are BOTH intended to be used for traffic.
