    Book Recommendations for Disney Fans

It's got lots of 80s and video gaming related pop-culture references, and was a really fun read. Most of it revolves around an advanced VR environment.

    Visiting during the eclipse

If the weather is clear you'll get to see a partial eclipse. It's possible that the sky may not even darken during the event, but you will get to see a chunk of the sun covered by the moon using eclipse glasses. Check out the If you're not in the path section of this site to see what to expect...

Are you traveling to see the eclipse?

The local schools have already decided to close due to an inclement weather event on that day. We are near totality here in Knoxville, but are travelling to the Nashville area to get about 2.5 minutes of totality.

    Torn Meniscus

Not a torn meniscus, but I had a pretty bad ankle sprain that put me in a boot for a trip. Ended up renting a wheelchair, for the trip and I felt a little silly having to be pushed around by my wife and friends. But overall it was a fun trip, because far as I'm concerned there is no bad trip. I...

    Sandals Vs. Sneakers...

Soon as the weather is nice enough, sandals are on my feet. I've always worn sandals in the parks and have had no problems with my feet hurting or any other issues. I also enjoy how easily and quickly they dry in case of rain. My sneakers are for cutting the yard.

Would a 4 year old need a stroller?!

We're taking our daughter who will be nearly 5 in Nov, and doesn't use a stroller normally. But we will be taking a folding stroller, because of the amount of walking that is done while in the parks. You don't really realize just how much walking you do while you're there, and to ask our...

    Book Recommendations for Disney Fans

Another vote for Kingdom Keepers, and not Disney related but a fun read that's getting a movie adaptation Ready Player One.

    Avatarland!!!!

I'm reserving judgement until it's opened/completed and I have personally experienced the attractions. When I first heard of it, I hated the idea, and still think it's a bad idea to make a whole area on a CGI live action Ferngully. But the immersion and level of theming that Disney is able to...

    Muppet Vision 3D

Agreed, was able to go on the attraction before Stitch was involved as Alien Encounter, even got the shirt (though that's been lost\discarded long ago). And though I enjoy the Lilo and Stitch movies, I don't like this attraction. I do like the MuppetVision though! One of my must do items. And...

    Not to be missed attractions?

And while on the subject of Club Cool, don't forget to get pics of the Beverly Faces! And post them here Beverly Faces Thread. (shameless plug for a thread I started ages ago... :duck:) MK: The opening show is a fun way to start a day, even if it means heading back for a nap during the day...

    Not to be missed attractions?

Epcot: Kidcot stops. You can also get little passports (or one to share) that are filled out at each of the countries. Even without the passport, the Kidcot stations are little fun interactive stops in each country. Studios: Street performers. Stop and smell the roses so to speak, watch...
