Ahoy, Kids! Scrap the Summer Plans...We're Sailing with Mickey to Alaska! (Upd 9/8)

Was there much smoking on board? Did the kids swim (besides with the ice, lol) in the Alaska part of the cruise? Are tips at the end of the cruise expected on Disney cruises? I know they are on pretty much every other cruise line.

    Disney Wonder Alaska

Was there smoking by passengers? If so how much? If there was swimming was it warm enough to do so? We only have 14 more states for our kids to complete and Alaska is one of the last to get us to all 50 before the younger one is out of high school.

2010 Yacht and Beach Club FAQ, Part II---Inactive Thread--- Please do not post here!

well, no microwave makes the fridge not as good of a feature My husband likes eggs, biscuits, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, etc. One of my kids would eat cereal but the other is more like her dad. But both of them do much better with protein, grain and fruit to start their day. If I am...

2010 Yacht and Beach Club FAQ, Part II---Inactive Thread--- Please do not post here!

I realize that towel animals are not a for sure and so did my girls, and I did prep them that they may not get them. But after it was requested you think perhaps they would have made more of an effort. Honestly that is one of the reasons that it is magical and I believe it should be a...

2010 Yacht and Beach Club FAQ, Part II---Inactive Thread--- Please do not post here!

One important note on the Beach Club/Yacht club resorts - Early magic hours started at 8 a.m. BUT there was NO place to get a hot (good, filling) breakfast before 7:30 a.m. Well, if you are going to be at the parks by 8, you had to be out for a bus by 7:05 or forget it. So, there were MANY...

Are these "Attraction Re-Entry" Passes legitimate?

when we went to Disney LAND two years ago we were almost at the front of the line for a ride and it broke, literally 2 people shy of us getting on. So they determined it was NOT fixable that day and gave the people that were in line up to a certain point some of those passes. They were good...

What not to do at Disney?

banabobana - as a mom of two well behaved kids and a home daycare provider of 7 well behaved kids, I agree completely. I judge other parents harshly because I know what proper sleep and training can do to a child and parent and lots of times the sleep is not given or enforced. Of course as a...

What not to do at Disney?

Anyone know if there is a "cool" fanny pack? UPDATE-I think I found one

I forgot another point that makes them essential in my book - glasses - I HAVE to wear mine or I am blind, so if we go on a ride where our glasses are in danger we put them in our fanny pack - they are safe and not hurt and accessible instantly when the ride is done. Plus if I have my sun...

Anyone know if there is a "cool" fanny pack? UPDATE-I think I found one

I don't wear hip hugging pants, so it may be different with those, but I have NEVER had an issue with my pants and the fanny pack. I have no problem with comfort either, never have, even with my heavier camara in there. If it's a SUPER hot day it can get sweaty but anything would. You...

What not to do at Disney?

I have one no one said, believe it or not - honor they child's routine - especially if they are under 5 yrs old this means not skipping naps for more then one day, not staying up for hours past their bedtime for days on end, not making them skip meals cause you are in a hurry to do...

Anyone know if there is a "cool" fanny pack? UPDATE-I think I found one

I will never go to an amusement park or all day thing without my fanny pack. I have my keys, wallet, camera and tickets/papers in there and I'm good to go. It doesn't get in the way on rides, it is never left behind and it's got enough space to put small treasures in as needed. Because it...

refillable cup on regular dining plan?

when we were at CBR we used the refillable mug for soda and used the drink part of our counter service to get a chocolate milk for our child. So, in that case we found the refillable mug VERY worth it.

Staying at Deluxe - Using FQSD instead of % off room?

I just (literally seconds ago) upgraded our dining from the quick service, table service and snack to the 3 meals plus 2 snacks a day. We are staying at the Beach Club and they don't really have a counter service for breakfast from what I was able to determine. When we stayed at the (moderate...
