    FPs for Tier One Question

Ahhh. I read the sticky, but somehow missed that I don’t HAVE to pick a tier 1. I’m a doof. Thank goodness that y’all are saving me from my addled middle aged brain. That’s what happens when 4 years pass without a Disney trip - you lose the planning skills! Thanks!

    FPs for Tier One Question

Staying offsite and I’m frustrated with FPs. I’m especially frustrated with the tier 1 issues for HS and AK. I’ll be selecting HS soon and Touring Plans shows that the FPs for TSM and SDD have been “distributed” already for the day we are going. So that leaves us with Alien SS and we have no...

    Why schedule FP+ late?

Thanks everyone for your input. I should have mentioned that we are going in late September. It will be three middle aged moms with no kids or husbands. Yee ha! We will also be hitting some EMHs (morning and evening) other than Epcot (not offered during our stay). I'm going to review my...

    Why schedule FP+ late?

All of the strategies I've read suggest getting later FPs. Wouldn't the better strategy be to get in rides rides right after opening and then have FPs scheduled about an hour after opening and back to back? That way you could add more once you've used them. If you schedule late ones, you...

PO-R or PO-FQ for Girls trip

A friend and I are planning a moms' getaway trip in late September or October. No kids! We are hoping for free dining and have decided on PO as our resort, but I'm not sure whether to pick Riverside or French Quarter. We'd like good bus service and the boat to Downtown is a plus. We don't really...

    Disney without the kids

One of my besties and I are planning a no kids trip this fall and I can't wait! My kids have been numerous times and my husband is not a big Disney fan. I decided that I want a trip where I don't have to worry about the family. Every trip has me as the planner, the packer, diaper changer...

Must-Try Restaurants for First Time Visitors?

Chef Mickeys is a must for that age! My kids also loved Crystal Palace in MK.

Come over to the dark side and try a Chicago style stuffed pizza! Totally different, but soooo good. http://www.giordanos.com/menu.html There is one on Irlo Bronson.

Cosmic Rays & Columbia Harbor House

I have to agree with PPs that CCH is better than CR. Lighter fare and a nicer atmosphere. While I enjoy the occassional tuna sandwich, the one at CCH is the best I've ever had and I always get one while at the MK. Good fish and chips and they even have malt vinegar -yum! There are the standards...

    Best Seafood Signature Restaurant?

My DH and I went there for a date night during our last trip. We couldn't get the fireworks on the deck and it was still romantic. The surf and turf was to die for.

    Star Tours and motion sickness

Ditto. I can ride the "lite" version of MM and every roller coaster, but the jolting motion with the visuals kill me. IMHO, it isn't worth 30 mins to and hour of hell to pay.

Crushed because our trip is cancelled...husband thinks I'm being dramatic

Aww. We DO get it here. My DH also doesn't get what WDW does for me. To so many it is exhausting, but to me it is envigorating. You are away from everything and can't have any worries in WDW! PP is right in that so much of the fun is in the planning too! We haven't gone since October 2010 and...

Talk me in or out of CRT

If you will be returning again before she is 7, then wait. She'll remember it more and possibly be more into the princesses. If you won't be back by then, DO IT! You will regret it if you don't. It is so beatiful and magical in the morning. Breakfast is yummy. Take lots of pics! I wish my DD...

    Teppan Edo??

I'm looking to try a new place for us to try. There will be 10 of us, all adults except my 11 yo DD and then 9 yo DS. We have no picky eaters. We stay off site. We won't be doing a lot of TS, as we try to keep the expenses down. Signature Dining is out (except for maybe a date night for DH and...

    Which meal at CRT?

BREAKFAST all the way!! Make your reservation for before park opening. You show up to a Main Street that is empty and freshly washed. Its hushed and magical! Its waiting to wake up. We had one of the first reservations one morning and DD got to be princess of the day! Free pics. :cool1: The sun...

    Favorite Dining in WDW?

It varies depending on your budget, your ages and your time! Here is what we like: For Epcot: Sunshine Seasons for CS. Good food, decent prices and something for everyone. If you enjoy Mediterranian food, Tangerine Cafe is great. I adore Biergarten for TS. I'm usually not one for buffets...

    Thanksgiving Week Crowd Levels?

How does it compare to peak summer season? I've been there in June & July before and if we don't get there during Thanksgiving, we'll be waiting until then.

Better time to go? Middle of May or end of August?

The end of August is hurricane season. I'd pick May.

    Thanksgiving Week Crowd Levels?

Can ya'll give me an idea of the crowd levels the week of Thanksgiving? I'm interested in what it's been like over the last couple of years. If we go, we'd be arriving the Saturday before and leaving the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We would stay off site, so EMH isn't an option, but we do like...

New Visa Reward Card Annual Fees??

Dang! I searched for a similar thread, but must not have used the right mix of words. I KNEW someone else on this wonderful board would have had to notice this! :)
