First night at US- what to do?

I 2nd the mini golf! It is slow paced so you will still get to relax. It is so much fun and well themed. Plus you get to crush the rest of your family which after a stay at WDW often is a requirement! :cool2:

    Car Service

I have used the both mentioned by the previous poster as well and found them both to be great. Depending on where you are going from/to there are also new services like Uber that might save you some $$$.

Food & Wine Fest Premium Package and Magic Bands

I can't believe I did it, but we did. You can link as many magic bands as you want or have to your account and any one of them will work. I suspect they will link them for you at the counter when you check in, but if they don't or mess up, You can do it yourself on the web or the app.

    Disney buying Warner Bros??

Just for a twist, wouldn't it be nice if they used WB to leverage a deal with Universal and trade them DC for Marvel so they aren't both in the awkward position they are in

    price of cabs

a couple years back, it cost me about $25.00 before tip in a mears cab. Traffic was extremely light when we made the journey. Nowadays my opinion is UBER is the way to go.

    Arrival day, which park?

Epcot is my favorite park, but I would say that AK is a great idea also. I have always found AK to be the easiest park to manage arriving late. If you are in the mood to HIT a park, AK would be my choice. If you were in the mood to go about it leisurely, Epcot would be great.

Does Disney still have a yearly theme?

I think the marketing campaign missed its mark when the fans forget what the theme is for this year. I had been thinking about a couple weeks back and I forgot there was the 'show your Disney side' thing happening also.

    Off Site Dining after Universal

I second the suggestion :) I have eaten at antojitos it was excellent, everyone raves about the new vivo. Cowfish will be open and of course some great choices at the onsite hotels as well if you have not had the pleasure of seeing those resorts first hand.

    when to buy plane tickets?

I tend to start looking as soon as I know the dates I want to be there. Having used the same airline for several years now (jetblue) I know what the average price should be and will pull the trigger when I get into that average range. After I book I keep an eye on the price and if I see any...

Do resorts charge for grocery delivery on arrival day?

We have had alcohol brought in, but they did ask me to come down to the front desk to present an id. Maybe it depends on the delivery person?

    ticket exchange question

I apologize if this is not the correct spot to ask the question. I struggled figuring out where this really belongs :) Over the past couple years, I have left over a 4 day unused ticket and a 6 day unused ticket. In the fall my folks want to go to the food and wine festival and are staying...

    Where to watch the Superbowl?

Thank you all, I will be calling all of these places up and see what is going on. I have a couple days to figure it out, I knew some of you would have some great ideas. Thanks again and if anyone has more ideas, I'll be checking in :)

    Where to watch the Superbowl?

This seems like the best place for this question :goodvibes Where offsite, but in the general vicinity of WDW resort can we watch the Superbowl? We were hoping to find a bar/lounge that might be having the sort of party that you can buy a ticket in advance for rather than a place we might...

    AP renewal information

Thank you so much. I caused plenty of confusion with my wording and I appreciate you all helping me anyway :rotfl: I am not actually renewing an AP. I bought the DVC deal last year and will be visiting again next week. My current AP will not expire until I go home. I was just trying to...

    AP renewal information

Sorry no, that is correct. I just thought the date was 12/15. So I am assuming from all the other posts now that I do have to activate this when I am there in October even though my current one won't be expired for a few days later. That sound about right?

    AP renewal information

yes, sorry. This was the DVC offer they had last fall. My current AP expires in October but after my next trip. I was hoping to push the time out as much as I can but sounds like I should just activate it last day of my trip. Thanks for all the info

    AP renewal information

I have an annual pass that part of the deal was it needs to be activated by December 15th this year. Does anyone know what happens if I am not there? Does it just begin as of December 15th or is that a problem? TIA :)
