    Help with Florida beach trip

Another vote for Clearwater Beach. That powdery white sand can't be beat!

    March 2020 rental car

You'll need a membership number to create a reservation, but you can check prices without entering a number. I think you'll be quoted the same price either way though.

    March 2020 rental car

Intermediate SUV through Costco now down to $211 and change for five nights at the end of the month. It's definitely not the best price I've ever found, but at least we're going in the right direction!

SSR Lovers and Owners Part 3

Does anybody know if pool hours are posted for March? I'm not sure if I need to temper my kids' expectations for swimming on our arrival day.

    March 2020 rental car

No additional drops for me yet. However, I do have a question. Has anybody picked up a car earlier than their original reservation? We changed flights and will be arriving two hours earlier than planned. Changing my rental reservation will increase our rate. What are the chances they'll honor...

    March 2020 rental car

We have our first price drop! It isn't much, but by switching from Alamo to Budget we are able to save $15, switch to an Intermediate SUV and still get a $30 Costo gift card. It's good to see things moving in the right direction!

Anyone Have a Shutterfly Code Available?

For anybody who may be following along, Shutterfly is currently offering free extra pages! I placed an order this morning and it brought my $130 book down to $30. This is by far my favorite promotion!

    Shopgoodwill?

I've used that site a couple times. It operates like eBay. The only thing I would watch for is the shipping. It is often reasonable, but there was one time that I didn't use the calculator before placing the bid and was slapped with around $50 for shipping!

    March 2020 rental car

I'm doing the same daily checks and saw a big jump through Costco also. I'm crossing my fingers in hopes that there may be a drop coming, but I'm not feeling optimistic. This is the first time we've planned a trip during Spring Break and I have a feeling we are paying for it, literally.

    March 2020 rental car

SHOULD you be a Costco member to use that ID? Probably. Can you get away without a membership? Probably. We've always booked directly through Costco using a family member's membership card. We were always prepared with a copy of the card and ready to explain the family relationship. Not once...

    March 2020 rental car

Prices are high for us as well. We currently have a full sized car for five nights from Alamo (through Costco) for $282. We're used to paying half of that! Here's hoping we all find drops in the coming weeks!

Anyone Have a Shutterfly Code Available?

How big are the books? If you aren't in a rush to place the order, I recommend waiting until they offer free extra pages. I think they offer it a couple times a year and those usually work out to be the best deal in my opinion.

    Food Fund

Are you up to carrying a backpack? We usually buy a couple cases of water for a week at the parks. We'll freeze half and they keep other snacks cold while melting throughout the day. Some may hate the extra weight, but we don't mind it and it saved a ton of money in water.

SOLO: A Chunkymonkey Story - June 2018! NEW 8/23 Last SOLO Moments THE END - Final VLOG posted!

I've enjoyed following your previous trip reports, but have to admit that I've never commented. I couldn't resist this time because our next trip will overlap with yours...and we're staying at Saratoga also. We stayed there a couple years ago, and, despite what everybody else says about it, we...

Anther drop for us...FINALLY. We're still nowhere near what we've been able to get in the past, but it's still improving. We're now down to $183.25 for an intermediate SUV for a full week with Budget, through Costco, for early June. I hope somebody else can benefit from the drop also!

I'm sorry, I can't help with this, but would love to follow the conversation for ideas for myself!

I do believe you need access to a membership. Do you know anybody with a card? I don't have a membership myself, but have been able to do it through a family member. I've never been asked for a card, but if asked, I've always planned to be honest and tell them that a family member booked it...

Question about SSR/OKW and adding a night

I can't help with all of your questions, but I can tell you that we had no issue getting two one bedroom units ALMOST next to each other at SSR. I don't think they can make any guarantees, but they'll probably make an effort. We also ran into the same issue with flights being cheaper one day...

Nice work! I'm still checking daily over here, but not much movement. I did see as SUV for $198 for 7 nights, but I'm not rebooking for 60 cents! No movement for SW for me...bummer.
