I don't think there are any posted yet...the Dobies are planning to go 12/20-12/26, and if there are no specials we will just suck it up and stay at the Sheraton. My fingers are crossed!

The Dobies have stayed at all three. We were not impressed by the DHL. If a helicopter dropped a bunch of money on our heads, we would get a theme park view at GCH and have room service bring us margaritas all afternoon so we could sip them on the balcony...:drinking:...otherwise, it is PPH...

Although the Dobies love the GCH, with Dobie Brat in college we can't afford it...sigh...we also love the PPH, but have decided that since it is a battle royal to get Dobie Brat up for MM, it is probably wiser to stay at the Sheraton...

The Dobies have caught cabs by cutting through the GCH lobby and asking one of the parking/bellman CMs to get us one...

PPH is actually very close if you walk through the GCH. The Dobies love love love PPH!

The Dobies stayed in 4011 about a decade ago. I don't have pictures, but the view was of Grizzly Mountain. It was also close to the lobby elevator and we could hear the lobby music. Magical.

Broke Dobies stay at the Sheraton Anaheim, because they like the free shuttle, the pool area, the big rooms, the free shuttle, the Starwood Points, and the free shuttle. Flush Dobies stay at the Paradise Pier, so that they can make one phone call for all their food appointments, and buy lots...

Paradise Gardens at DCA. There is shade, live music, and BEER! :drinking:

Oh yes yes yes. Take a cab. It will be 50 bucks each way, when you include the tip, and you can get from the luggage carousel to your hotel in 25minutes! Time is money!!!!

The Dobies have stayed at all DLR resorts and the PPH is our onsite hotel of choice from now on! We love the quick walk and the big rooms. We miss the GCH pool and balcony, but since it is about half the GCH price, we don't miss it that much!

The Dobies like the Anaheim Sheraton. It is not walking distance, but they have a very convenient shuttle. It is about a five minute drive. We like the Sheraton because the rooms are large and there is a nice pool area.

The gift shop at the PPH is rather limited. They sell beer, wine, soda, and some prepackaged Disney snacks. I was disappointed to find no juice available.

It is a horrible, horrible trip. AMTRAK runs on a freight track and must frequently go onto a siding to give right of way to freight trains. It is typically (hours) late, the cars are poorly cleaned, the bathrooms are full of poopy diapers, it stops every half hour all night long and you get...
