Harry Potter: read the book or wait one year for the play?

I haven't read the book/script, but I don't think it would spoil anything. The effects on stage are magnificent and the whole story comes to life in the actors hands. Pam

What exactly are the things that are closed on a bank holiday?

I think you will also find that there is a big 10K charity run around the city on that day. It might make getting around a bit more tricky. Pam

    Driving licence,Hiring car

Since we had the card type licences, we have never used the paper part - never even taken it with us. In fact we only show it on the way out of the parking garage to the person in the security check booth. That must be, what, 20 years??? Pam

    Does anybody else do this?...

I used to live six miles from MIA and a good night out wasn't finished until we ended up in the big hall with the windows looking over the runway drinking coffee! The only place we could go at 3 or 4 in the morning! It's the smell of the jet fuel and the air of things about to happen that is...

Mandymouse's Crafty Week in WDW for Hubby's 50th (Jan '15)

We, as a family, all feel exactly the same way about Animal Kingdom. No idea why, but it just isn't 'magical'. Enjoying the updates as always. Pam

    A week in London

Hey MacLondon, I loved your tips for food. Never been to Hawksmoor, but passed one often at Seven Dials. Next time we'll go in! Never been the Wahaca, is it good? And we will definitely go wandering in Charlotte Street. Pam

    A week in London

One place in London that we love to visit with daughter who is 25 is Camden Market. The whole area is full of great fashion shops, food carts, jewellery, artisans. It is very 'hip', and was the home of the likes of Amy Winehouse (there is a statue of her in the Market), and Boy George. There...

    A week in London

Try Marlin Apartments also for a serviced apartment. They have various places throughout London. We have stayed a few times at the London Bridge ones. Lots of space, the two bedroomed flats have two bathrooms, a lounge/kitchen/dining room. Would recommend them. Pam

Any been to disney's vero beach?

Oh, heavens, I'd forgotten the no-see-ums! They loved me - even sitting round the pool or on our balcony or on the balcony of the Green Cabin Room. Nothing deterred them from me, but husband and daughter weren't bothered at all by them. Loved the campfire with the S'mores too. The memories...

Any been to disney's vero beach?

Yes, many times. We used to own DVC there. It was one of our very favourite places, very relaxed and friendly. We loved the Green Cabin Room for snacks, drinks overlooking the ocean and great sunsets. However, we haven't been for many years, since the hurricane hit, as we sold our Points...

**Dis Weight Loss Group - April 15 - Week 1**

Hi, I've been loving this beautiful weather, too. Long may it last. I lost another 1lb today. This is the first public holiday where I've not gained weight. Of course, with the huge amount I put on over my NYC holiday, I really couldn't afford to put any on. Good luck Cathy with your new...

London transportation questions for my British friends...

We recently stayed at the Sofitel, which you can walk to from Terminal 5 at Heathrow. Connected by walkways and elevators. It's a beautiful hotel, but it is expensive unless you can get a deal. And yes, about an hour on the Tube to Piccadilly. Pam
