Ah, that makes sense. Did seem strange to me that the hours were so different. So that begs the question....since our plans are fairly flexible, should we do the park on Sunday-Monday instead of Monday-Tuesday? It will be much busier on Sunday, of course. But it will also be open 6 hours longer...

We have decided to do a last minute trip down to DL next week and are looking at going to the parks for two days: Monday, 12/12 and Tuesday, 12/13. The strange thing is the hours. This week (e.g., today), DL is open from 9am-9pm (and CA is open from 10am-8pm), but next Mon/Tues, DL is only open...

Space Mtn was closed for much of the day on Tuesday (although we did get lucky and rode it at 11:30) and yesterday while I was in DCA there was a rumor going around that it had been down all day. What gives?

We've done both Mon-Thurs and Tues-Fri the week after Thanksgiving. Both trips were awesome! It's a great time of year to go. The only risk is rain (it rained on the Friday we left the first time we went and on our last day the other time). Still had a great time though.

OK, for those you out there that are Sept vets (I am not), how busy has the park been in the past during that month? I know that WOC throws things off a bit, but in general how busy is Sept? We are going to be there during the week after Labor Day.

Something tells me that DCA will be quiet during weekdays in Sept, WOC or no WOC. Definitely much quieter than the summer!

Interesting to see they are showing no WoC for the weekend of 9/10-9/12. I'm guessing (hoping) that will change since I wanted to catch it on 9/10. It seems like there would be demand for at least one show on the weekends in September.... :confused3

Given all the APs that will want to see WOC this Fall, it surprises me a bit that there is no plan on having it happen during the week during offseason. Then again, DCA tends to be a ghost town during the offseasons so maybe they just don't want to deal with having it open late enough to support...

I called DLH today and the CM assured me that the pool is fully open to all guests all of Sept. She did say there will be "some construction" behind the pool, but nothing that will disrupt using it. Yay!

Just called the DLH and the CM told me the pool will be open all September (although there will be some construction behind the pool itself). This is great news for us b/c we have only gone to DL before in Dec and the kids are really looking fwd to the DLH pool.

Thanks to the lousy economy and State budget here in the Golden State, L.A. County school teachers are now on furlough the first full week in September. So for those of you (like me) that planned on visiting DL during a week when everyone was back in school in SoCal....no dice. School doesn't...
