    Your Disney Tradition?

Dinner at Ohana's, lunch at Rainforest Cafe (AK), boat ride from POR to DTD, and face painting for the girls at AK. Oh, and calling grandma as we enter each state on the trip down... even if it's an overnight trip.

What's the fastest way to get from MGM to Epcot?

This sounds like an option for us this December... but is there any problem walking this path after dark? i.e. will the walking path be closed after dark? We want to see the lights at the Studios and make it to Le Cellier by 8:10.

    Osborne family lights at MGM?

With that in mind, is it unreasonable to think that I might be able to make a ADR at 4:50 (@MGM), see the lights sometime between 6:00-7:00 and make it to DTD/Cirque for the 9:00pm show? I was hoping that leaving the park at 7:00 would allow us to get out quickly. Now, this seems very...

    Osborne family lights at MGM?

Does anyone know why The Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights is only an hour long on December 8th? And the park closes an hour early too?

Birthday ideas for 9 year old?

We had lunch at the Royal Table and went to the luau at the Poly for my DDs 10th birthday this past March. We had a cake delivered to the luau for her too. She had a great time.. It's a shame that Disney did not have any transporatation to bring attendees back to DTD for buses back to...

    Air Tran Help

Without an eticket you cannot check-in until you arrive at the airport. That's us WDW Travel paper-ticket folks. But, depending on what type (fare) of paper ticket was issued by WDW travel, you may be able to reserve your seats through WDW travel ahead of time. For our next trip this...

    Port Orleans to Poly

Or, if you don't want to drive, take the bus to MK and monorail to Poly. We did this last year and since the monorail was virtually empty after dropping everyone off at MK we got to ride in the front with the kids. Jeff

DME - Any problem with no-shows (on our part)

We have booked a reservation including DME and now we are thinking of getting a town car. If we don't check any baggage with the yellow tags and don't use the DME, do they care? I would hate to cancel DME, encounter a problem with the town car service and then have to resort to taking a taxi...

    Driving from Maryland- Questions

We've made the trip (driving) from Montgomery County, Maryland many, many times with our 3 DDs (now ages 10, 8 & 5). We have usually left around 4am to try and get past Richmond by 6am. We have always taken I-270 to I-495 to I-95. Bring or install a DVD player, Gameboys, coloring books, word...

DH drives me crazy! No pun intended!

We have made about 10 trips to Florida since 1994, 4 of them to WDW. We have driven every time, mostly because I just love to drive but also because it has been cheaper (we have 3 DDs). I personally like to see everything between home and destination. I'll admit that I am afraid to let me...

Driving from Maine - just a tiny vent

Okay, you can call me sick.. but I actually look forward to our drive from MD to WDW. It's only 900 miles though, and that's probably my max. straight-through distance since my DW doesn't do any of the driving. Our DDs (9, 8 and 5) don't seem to have to much trouble with it either, so long as...

Has anyone ever used US17 & SR19 from Jax to WDW?

I have considered taking US17/SR19/441/429/535/Vista Blvd from Jacksonville (I-295) to WDW (POR) as an alternative to I-95/I-4 for our next trip in March '06. I know that this route will not be any quicker, but after driving the interstate for 10+ hours to get to Jax I would like a change of...

Subtracting from the Magic?...(Or, Can we get this fixed please?)

After three visits since '99, all I can say is that it is all too easy for things to lose their "excitement" after seeing or doing them for the first time. I personally try to forget everything we've seen and done just before we arrive, and the "excitement" gets a big boost. Plus, it seems my...

    Campfire at POR

FYI- We are staying at POR 3/24-3/31 and have made two seperate calls to inquire about a campfire at POR. Both netted the same result, "We do not have a campfire at POR". They both suggested Fort Wilderness.

    Alternative to I4 from Jacksonville

I know a lot of people will just say to stay on I-95 South to I-4 to get to Orlando from Jacksonville area, but is there an alternative that won't be mostly/all two-lane road with 35mph limits or way out of the way (like I-10 to 301, etc.)? Looking at the map I see state roads 17/19/441 that...
