Food Allergies: Are you forced to sit alone?

I have a hilarious but tragic image in my mind of a row of individual tables back by the kitchen, each with one sad diner, shedding tears into their watercress soup. In answer to your question, though, no, no one is segregated for their allergies. I have food allergies and have been seated...

    Great Dream Video on YouTube

What a lovely touch, using the Finding Nemo soundtrack! And good lord, I CANNOT wait until next year!

    Christmas Time at Disney

Also at Epcot, sometimes a German glassblower will be in the Christmas shop making ornaments. We loved watching that and getting a signed ornament. The Grand Floridian has an enormous gingerbread house that we've always wanted to visit.

Hyatt at the MCO airport is 160 a night

We've never paid more than $30 for a hotel at the airport the night before a cruise or the night before a flight home. As you can specify number of stars on Priceline, you won't end up staying in a hole in the wall if you select an appropriate category. There is no reason to ever pay a rack rate.

Will there be rides for my 1.5 year old daughter?

We went to DL last fall with our daughter, who was 11 months at the time, and there wasn't one ride that scared her. Well, she did lean back against me on PotC at the fort battle scene, but that was about it. She pointed and oooohed and clapped for most of the other rides. She just loved the...

    Adoption and cruising ?

My sister got her 8 month old a passport and she got to be in the picture with him. I think it's an option a parent can choose for a child under 3.

    Adoption and cruising ?

As a adoptive mother myself, I applaud your decision to add to your family by adoption. I actually think that a cruise soon after bringing your daughter home would be an excellent way for your whole family to spend dedicated time together in a fun and enriching environment. You'll bond as a...

This is a stupid question but....but how long do Mickey Rice Crispies stay good for?

I have a bit of a fixation on the ones coated with "confection," which I believe is much like boiled frosting. I found one in the back of my cupboard that was at least two years old, and I absolutely ate it. It was slightly stale, but I still enjoyed it.

    Veranda or ocean view?

We liked the ocean view over the balcony for the temperature control alone. I like it very cool in my stateroom and every time the veranda doors open, the temp rises considerably. With a child, you would just need to remove the furniture from the veranda to keep your child from climbing on it.

KTTK tour? Worth it? Worth giving up the time in the park?

We absolutely loved the KTTW tour. It was probably the highlight of our trip. We had a wonderful guide, too, who was fun and enthusiastic. Highly recommended.

    "Ears" headband question

When we went to WDW for our honeymoon, a friend who had been there the month before us said that they carried the bride and groom hats but no headband ears, so, as I wanted the white sequined Minnie veil, we called DelivEars (1-800-362-4533) and had then sent to us. We didn't see the sequined...

    Space Mountain Refurb--What changed?

I certainly hope they did more than update the queue. The last time we went in 2007, my husband and I got stuck in the launch tube, and the ride was in seriously bad shape. All the carpet was torn and filthy and there was duct tape everywhere. I was hoping the rehab would clean up the inside...

    Any guesses about Dream's windows?

If you look at the artistic rendering of the Dream on the website, it shows the row of significantly smaller portholes on the lowest deck of staterooms, meaning those rooms would have two small portholes. It could be that they used the older ships as a starting point for the rendering and that...

    Epi pen

Keep it out of direct sun and you'll be fine. I've had my pen in every climate and temperature extreme and it's been perfectly OK in my bag. If it could survive Panama twice...

BBB coming to one of the new Cruise ships!

It's funny. I'm the least girly woman imaginable, but I love dressing my daughter in pink and bows and dresses, and I CANNOT WAIT until our Dream cruise as she'll be old enough to go to the BBB. Hee!

Does WDW use their male entertainers in female roles?

You can't possibly have anything to do with the industry if you think that men are so plentiful in Disney entertainment that they perform in drag to make up for the paucity of women. Those bad acrylic wigs make anyone wearing them look, up close, like a cabaret performer from 1975. And water...

    Change our clocks Saturday?

Is it DST already? If so, then yes, you'll need to change your clocks. AZ is the only state that doesn't observe DST.

Passenger Indicted for Sexual Assault on Disney Wonder

I fully intend on teaching my daughter, who is 14 months old right now, that if anyone EVER tries to get her alone, she has the right to push THEM overboard. That poor little girl. Thank God she told someone. It saddens me but doesn't surprise me that there is no safe place in this world.

Anyone else craving the Rainforest room?

I was just thinking yesterday how much I would love to be in the Rainforest Room as I'm sick and my sinuses are killing me. The steam would be soooo lovely.
