Diabetes - How about a carbohydrate counting thread?

Our DS 12 was dx'd with T1 one week ago today. We're planning a WDW trip next February and was so glad to find this thread!! The disneywithdiabetes.com website is wonderful! Like everyone else, carb counting is now a part of life and it's so reassuring to know there are wonderful DIS'ers with...

    Wonder room 6576

We were in 6586 on the Wonder last month. Just a few cabins down from yours. We really enjoyed the location. Plus, if you're too pooped or not interested in hanging out up on Deck 9 for the fireworks on Pirate Night, you can watch them from your verandah!

A quick question for January cruisers.

We just returned from the 4 Night Wonder last week. We had a great time but I think I'll choose to go in a warmer month next time. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we went when we did. Weather was great but the water was rather chilly for my tastes and a front had moved through which made for some...

    8:30 dining, yuck!

We booked a year out and requested late seating. DD7 is always has no problem staying up late and is usually hungry all the time. We loved it! As others have said, you don't feel so rushed to get ready for dinner. You can go to the shows casual, then go back and dress for dinner since there's...

Radisson or Hampton Inn at the Port

We stayed at the Radisson on January 14, 2006. Here are my responses to your questions: Clean rooms: no complaints, a slight odor that Renuzit took care of. Friendly staff: no complaints here. Restaurant staff seemed excellent. Pool/amenities: pool looked nice but weather didn't allow us...

    Disembarkation times order

I LOVED their debarkation process. We had late seating so we strolled down for breakfast at 8:30 and when we were done, strolled right off the ship with no lines, no waiting. Ever so slight delay in customs. Instead of rushing downstairs just to stand and wait in line for the debarkation...

    Duct Tape?

    ship to Atlantis Resort

We took the water taxi. $6 per person round trip. Nice scenery and never a worry about traffic backing up. Picks up near the building you exit at the port, drops you at the base of Harborside which is on Atlantis property. On the return we were dropped right by the straw market. There's...

    Questions on level 5

We were in 6586 and LOVED it. Midship, no noise, close enough to a smaller laundry room for my always-cleaning mom. And, like I've posted too many times now, you can watch the fireworks from your verandah. ENJOY!!

Should I change rooms to save some $$?

Probably too late now but another idea is to book a Cat 6 (with verandah) and a Cat 11 (I think -- whatever cat would be an inside stateroom on the same deck) across the hall. You get the benefit of the verandah but without forking out the $$$$$$ for two verandahs. Just slip across the hall to...

    Manatees near the Port---Shirley, help!

While I share your interest in seeing the creatures up close, you should be aware that is is illegal for humans and dangerous for the manatees to approach them. savethemanatee dot org advises to not feed or give water to manatees and to keep your distance while viewing them. They are an...

Excursion: Atlantis Pools and Swim Diapers?

I didn't see where your question had been answered... that would be a big huge NO. Froze my you know what off but I'm a wimp and need very warm water.

    Atlantis on Sale

Because Atlantis has so many fun things to do -- lots of pools, killer slides, aquarium, the Dig, etc. You have to have a room there to get to use all that stuff. It's really just a matter of personal preference for what kind of activity you're looking for. :goodvibes

    Atlantis on Sale

You can do a search on this for more info, but here's what I've read and/or experienced. Rooms at Atlantis are nearly $400/night. Day rooms are allegedly available although Atlantis will tell you over the phone they're not. Comfort Suites was around $205 with taxes when we checked. Harborside...

Just back from 4 Night Wonder... any questions?

I do hope that whoever it was is okay. At least we were off the coast of Southern Florida when it happened so he/she could get prompt medical care in the U.S.
