How about a donation to a charity? Most don't include the amount donated on the acknowledgment card. We attended a wedding a few weeks ago - second marriage for both, they each own a business, bride is a breast cancer survivor. We donated to Susan Koman in their honor.

We just left BCV last night after a 9 day trip, made it home (to Jersey) at about 2 am. House, inside & out, is secure. Picked up a little food and supplies this morning. Now just waiting to ride out the storm. Enjoy your trip!

Nope, that's called a baby-sitter, not a play date 20 years ago did our parents bring us to play dates, did we have endless after-school activities? Answer is probably no. And are any of us worse for this? I don't think so.
