    WL playground and pool question

There are bathrooms not far from the pool where you can change. Towels are available poolside. IF your room isn't ready, they will give you an approximate time and a number to call to check on your room's availability. Enjoy!

    Which Resort?

My DDs are close in age to your children -- 4 and 6 -- and we have stayed at both WL and AKL (though only one night at AKL before our cruise last year -- I wanted to try it out!). There are pros and cons to each. First, I have not stayed at CBR, but the theming at both WL and AKL is much...

    WL playground and pool question

There is a playground -- over closer to the beach area, i thought (haven't been in a while). There are two hot hubs and a shallow kiddie pool. I don't recall any sections of the pool being very deep, but again its been a while. I am not sure of the pool hours. It is a nice pool and the hotel...

    Exercise on the Magic...Question

You would be surprised at the number of people in the fitness center when it opened each day at 7am! There were a number of treadmills, elliptical trainers and stair steppers and you can watch tv or look down at the bridge while you sweat. We went for a number of walks on Deck 4 in the...

I Need American Idol Play By Play (Cable Went Out)

My brother came over with a friend who needed some legal advice and wanted to go through some documents with me (right at the start of the show), so I missed the first three singers. I couldn't tell them to leave -- the guy has been badly defrauded by someone and needed help, but yikes did they...

    Temperature onboard the ship/

I found the hallways, restaurants, movie theaters and some other common areas of the ship to be COLD. Others might disagree, but I found it helpful to have at least one sweater/sweatshirt for everyone just in case. Have a great trip! :D

For those of you with little ones.....

I don't see a problem with that. You can feed your little one with room service or deck 9 food (so long as he is OK with hot dogs, burgers and chicken strips). With two little one's myself (who are actually very well behaved), I know it can be very hard to enjoy a dinner and give another child...

    Opinions of Parrot Cay please...

On the 3/23 Magic cruise, we also had the PLAPLAP rotation. I did not like the tropical menu at Parrot Cay at all. We ate at Palo two nights (including the second night we were to dine at Parrot Cay) and there is just no comparison. We enjoyed all of the restaurants more than Parrot Cay. Oh...

potty breaks in the kids club

I just asked my 2 DDs (5 and 4) who are three time cruise veterans. The first time they checked into the club, a counselor took them over to the bathroom to show them where it was. They scheduled regular potty breaks -- a number of times I appeared to pick them up they were in the bathroom...

    Can a cruise be affordable?

Follow Lisa's advice and book the cruise separately from the land portion of your trip. This will give you the most flexibility to choose hotels and cruise cabin categories and typically the packages are more expensive than you could put together yourself. Have a great trip! :D

    Verandahs and Small Children

We have cruised 3 times with my 2 young DDs (now 5 and 4) and had a verandah each time. I was also a little nervous about it. Our first cruise they were 3 and 2. Bottom line -- we never let them go out there alone and made sure the door was locked when no one was out there. I really didn't...

    April 6 Magic

cj -- I'm sorry the weather was lousy on your trip. We cruised on the 3/23 Magic. I definitely felt the ship moving the first two nights (on the way to St. Maarten), but it was very smooth after that. We felt fine the whole time -- which was a relief! Our servers were Karl and Andrej as...

Am I crazy to think I can spend only $100 on the Magic?

You can visit islands without breaking the bank! We sailed on the 3/23 Magic and spent a lot more than $100 (ate at Palos twice and tipped more than $10, bought the wine package, DH got 2 massages and I bought 9 or 10 pictures at Shutters), but we visited St. Maarten and St. Thomas with 2 young...

March 30th Magic - Onboard the Ship (pics and music)

Love the report! Love the music! We got off the Magic a few hours before you got on. Glad you had a great time. I look forward to reading the rest of your report! :earsgirl:

    Anniversary perks?

We celebrated our 10th anniversary on a 3 night Wonder cruise last June. We got a cake the last night of our cruise. We ate in Palo the actual night of our anniversary and our server brought us some special extra dessert (which we ate after the souffles). We had a great trip! :)

I got upgraded to Room 6000 from 2601!

Its also more convenient to be on Deck 6 than on Deck 2. From Deck 6, pools, snacks and buffet are only 3 decks up and restaurants on only 2 or 3 decks down. We just cruised on the 3/23 Magic and our cabin was just forward of the mid-ship elevators on Deck 6. It was a great location. If I...

    Very long 3/23 Trip Report!

Newmexikid: There is no fee to use the fitness center. You just walk into the spa and there is a sign directing you to the fitness room, which overlooks the bridge of the ship. It is not a huge facility, but it has a number of treadmills, stairmaster-type machines and 2 elliptical trainers...
