    How far to Normandy?

In August you could be battling traffic, mainly on the way back to Disney. Depends on the date. I would encourage you to spend at least one night in Normandy. You could do it in a day but it would be a 5 am to midnight type of day and you would be able to see very little.

Have AP holders ever been refused access?

The clause is indeed there for when the park reaches capacity. At that point they let no one in and have to wait for people to leave. I know it has happened in the past. Not sure if it has since studios opened howver.

    Parking and strategy?!

Why did you get the parking for free? What did you have to show to get that?

    Parking and strategy?!

Well its just one long row of sidewalks with breaks in them. They have a big Disney canopy over them sort of big top style and there is music playing. They dont extend out among the cars, just down the middle.

    Parking and strategy?!

The Disney Parking is behind the hotel New York and is huge with lots of moving sidewalks. My inside tip is to forgo that parking lot unless its included in the price of your stay. Instead, use the pay parking lot for Disney Village. Its right next to the Gaumont theatre, much smaller, and...

Francilien AP - Can someone else buy it for you?

I had to show an electricity bill in my name to get one.

    RER Question...

A mobilis is actually less than a return ticket by a small amount. A mobilis gives you unlimited travel on the RER / Metro / Bus for one day. It would be a good deal for Beachbaby only if she plans to travel a few more times by metro that day since this is not a question of a round trip...

Has anyone used DLP as a jumping off point?

I personally wouldnt do it. You dont have Paris at your feet. You cant find your favorite cafe near your hotel and sit to watch the world go by. You cant pop into your room to drop off things you may have bought during the day or if nature calls. You cant walk to the sites that are near your...

    Getting to Paris from Disneyland

So your daughter is going to CDG and not to Paris? Thats a bit different. Mobilis does NOT work for transport to the airports. If she needs to go directly to the airport, I would just put her on the TGV from Disney.

    Getting to Paris from Disneyland

bcmba: depending on the day of the week you are going to be there , a Carte Orange may be the way to go. It is a week pass valid monday to sunday and costs 31,50 euros for 5 zones. If you go with the Carte Orange you will need a to take a small passport size photo with you which will be...

Please help! Is it worth going?

Keep in mind that the dollar is way way down so it makes florida a cheap buy. The euro is much stronger so you arent getting a currency exchange discount.

    Shareholders Invitation to the Studios??????

I feel almost 100 percent confident there will be a preview. There was one for the studios when it opened as well as Space Mountain Mission 2 and Buzz. Cyrano has it right. Its fairly impossible to schedule around the previews due to last minute notification.

RER into centre of Paris question?

Yes sorry i misread. Mobilis does not work between the airports and Paris but it does indeed work between Disney and Paris. Someone mentioned a stop at CDG meaning CDG-Etoile and my brain went on a tangent :)

RER into centre of Paris question?

Just so you know, the Mobilis is not good for transportation between CDG and Paris but the Paris Visite is. You would have to buy a standard 8 euro ticket to get into Paris if you purchase the Mobilis.

    CDP to DLP

Be careful about roaming taxi offers at CDG. Taxis may only be taken from the official taxi stands. These people wandering about offering "taxi" rides are not official taxi drivers. Its a bad idea to take one. They are not insured to drive you. You dont really know where they will take you...

    Driving In France

Theres Fountainebleau chateaux, the royal palace prior to Versailles. Its about 45 minutes from Paris. http://www.musee-chateau-fontainebleau.fr/ In the same area is Vaux le Vicomte which was a chateau built by Nicolas Fouquet the finance minister to Louis the 14th. Louis the XIV thought...

    Driving In France

I suggest renting the Renaut Espace or Peugeot 807 size vehicule. I typically rent from Europcar and am happy with them. However, I have rented from Avis and Hertz as well and they were all nice. Hertz tends to have the oldest cars. I would suggest avoiding National, have had poor experiences...

    Car Hire from CdG airport

I havent hired one at CDG but I do drive my own to Disney for the day. The nice thing about a car is you are free to move about at your own schedule. If you do take a car, follow the signs to the Disney Village / Gaumont parking. Its covered timed parking and is MUCH closer to the park...

First Family DLP Trip - advice required

I would suggest staying at the park for the days you will visit the park and staying in Paris the other days. The commute is not all that long but it seems MUCH longer after a day of sight seeing in paris. Plus you cannot stop by your room to freshen up or relax if it is all the way out at...
