Resort mug refill locations at Saratoga Springs WDW

Do you know what the hours are for refill station at Grandstand? I see that it is only open seasonally so I'm wondering if the refill station stays open anyway?

    Special Needs Stroller recommendations

I agree! While yes they do "push" like a stroller and the wheels are huge like an adult wheelchair, strollers do not have swing away foot supports nor are they made with heavy reinforced metal frames for being strapped down for transport. When it comes to a cast member that is arguing with me...

Disputing with my husband. . . Please weigh in

I say go as a family now, there is a magic that may not be there for the kids as they get older and it's so amazing to see them there while they still believe in everything! I've been taking my kids since they were babies, it never mattered to me if they remembered or not, I remember and I will...

If you have gone with a 2 yo...

I've been with both my kids at that age. With my oldest it was smooth sailings, however she was a very, very good baby (slept through the night from day one in the hospital). She napped amazing in the stroller or in the hip carrier I had so never needed to go back to the room, she was also a...

    Special Needs Stroller recommendations

My 8 year old has a Convaid Cruiser with the transport option which has worked great. With the transport option it does make for a heavier chair but I am able to wheel it right on and off the buses and she is just strapped in. Only problem with this chair is that while it certainly doesn't look...

DAS with a party of 9?

I had a party of 13 when we were there last summer but as there were 3 families, I only linked myself, my 2 kids and then my sister in law and niece as they were staying with us. Das unfortunately isn't made for an entire extended family to use as that would be an unfair advantage when there is...

    Childrens Hospitals

my oldest was hospitalized for several days during our trip down there almost 6 years ago. She was at Florida Hospital for Children and I must say they were excellent.

    DAS scheduling - issues

That is not how it's supposed to work, anyone in the DAS party is supposed to be able to get a return time as they are all linked to the DAS. The person who the DAS is for however has to be the first one to scan their band when they arrive back to the ride at the designated time.

Just curious-ECV in room or hallway?

I certainly understand rooms can be tight when you have a big piece of equipment in it, however if you are bringing it with you, it should be in your room and not outside. I can't tell you how many times, especially at Animal Kingdom Jambo House I can't get my daughter special needs chair down...

    Least Busy Summer Week?

I take my kids the last two weeks leading up to Labor Day as I find that it's pretty decent crowd wise as the southern states are already back in school and even a lot of northern states now go back to school in August. I'm lucky because my town still starts the Wednesday after Labor Day so we...

    Toddler leash

My daughter is 8 and has always been a bolter. I tried the leashes and she was always able to get out of them. If you decide to use one I would practice using it at home while you are out and about to get her used it. Because it didn't work for me, if my daughter wasn't in her stroller then...

    Teens

My oldest was 12 almost 13 on our last trip and omg she pi$$ed me off a good 3 days in a row so after being a PITA all day I finally left her in the room by herself around 6 or 7pm and took my 8 year old to one of the parks for a few hours. I told her that if she left the room she was done...

Packing food for the parks: Never done it before and need tips

Ok, I would consider myself a boss when it comes to bringing meals into the parks. The fact that I cook 90 percent of our meals for 2 weeks every summer is one of the main reasons I've been able to bring my girls every year. I have an Igloo Maxcold soft sided cooler that is amazing at keeping...

    bringing our own food

I cook most of our meals at Disney and fly with one to suitcases full of groceries (thank you Southwest for no baggage fees). That being said while I will pack bagels in my suitcase I would pack fruit in one. I would carry them on or as others have said, do a quick grocery run when you get...

Have zebra domes gone from Boma?

I have to agree Pixie, the last two years I've eaten there has not been very good which is so incredibly sad as it was my kids and mine favorite restaurant. They've picked eating there over each having and extra $50 in spending money and that was at like 6 and 10 years old! But we have pulled...

Good's Food To Go at OKW -- can't really handle large crowds

The lack of decent quick service dining is my only reason for not staying at OKW any longer. It used to by my favorite place to stay, but it's large size and lack of indoor quick service have made it so that I stay in other resorts :( I would love if they would redo the area.

Waitlist Support Group...who want's to join?

So incredibly happy but also so incredibly frustrated. I have been waiting on the waitlist for 3 months for 1 night in the middle of our 2 week stay at AKV Jambo House to come available. We are 10 days out now and as of a week ago I started calling everyday seeing if anything was magically...

Sensory issues - when did you ditch the stroller?

I feel your pain! I as well have certainly grown a thick skin over the last 7 years, unfortunately my 11 year old still gets so incredibly embarrassed when her sister has an "episode". It's life and just something you deal with. I actually find it easier to deal with at Disney because let...

What kind of shoes do you wear?

I wear a lot of maxi dresses at Disney and skorts. If I was wearing a shorter dress I would absolutely use bike shorts underneath because some of the rides will make wearing a shorter dress "indecent". As for footwear if it's not raining I wear my teva flip flops and they keep my feet comfy all...
