    Disney tape ruined!!

Sorry about that, you may want to try looking up digital restoration type places in the phone book. I had a vhs tape that broke and it was able to be fixed. I think the way i found the guy was that he did video tape transfers onto CD but he was also able to do repairs he just didn't advertise...

OT: I need a Pioneer outfit for my daughter

DD12 had to do a Pioneer type outfit couple of years ago. We hit the local Salvation Army, found a peasant type skirt, it was floor length , and browsed until I found a somewhat pioneer shirt. Thing to remember is you don't want any zippers, velcro, shiny ribbons, better to find ties and buttons...

Inspired by DMx7's GF thread: Would you "stretch the truth" to get a nonsmoking room

Had the same experience here but at POP. Never understood why at the majority of hotels we request smoking and we're given a non smoking room. I would think with all the complaints the hotels receive from the non smokers being in a smoked room that they would do their best to keep the two apart.

    OT...Kindergarten or not?

Another Michigander here.. I can't say if this has passed or not, but I do know there's support for this. It would phase in i.e. 2007 cut-off would be Nov 1st, 2008 cut off would be Oct 1st, 2009 cut-off would be Sept 1st. My DD3's birthday is Sept 15th, she'll be turning 5 about 2 weeks...

    Animal Kingdom opinions

No, no, no, don't miss AK. It's a terrific park, not like a typical zoo at all. Think about it, this is Disney we're talking about, would they do anything typical?? Yes, it can be done in one day, but then it all depends on how much you're willing to discover. It's not a park to rush...

Where did you purchase your Disney cruise?

I'm not a travel agent , just a poster. The reason I posted it spelling out the dot com is that on other boards that I'm on, if you post a site address the correct way many times it will be blocked out-something to do with spam? I don't know, but it's just become a habit for me at this point...

How to do WDW on extremely tight budget?

For our family of 5, just one breakfast at the resort could easily come to $35 by the time you add in the juices, milk, etc. We spent about $40 total for all six days by stopping at Walmarts and picking up cereal, milk, o.j., rolls. That alone paid for the rental car. Now add into it the...

    Target. Receipt lookup?

I was just in Target yesterday and they were able to look up an item by scanning my check-just a regular check not a check card, so they might be able to do it with a check card also.

Florida House Builder - looking for ideas

Thanks for the link. Only problem with those from what I could see is that for custom built down there you're going to be paying the big bucks! I guess I'm thinking of the builders' up here. They are somewhat between the huge corporate production builder's like Morrison, Lexington, etc and...

One more..on looking into a possible Florida move, it sure does seem like there is only production builders down there. Are there any custom builders at all? I sure don't seem to be able to find any online.
