Is HH 3BR for One Night for Two People Silly

We were totally anticipating having to book a 2BR for just 2 people for 4 nights. Do what you have to do!

WDW COVID-19 Operational Changes- Reservation System-Rope Drop Procedures

DH and I have a "no parks" trip in May. We are currently thinking as long as domestic air travel is operational and the resorts are open, we will go. This is subject to change if there are travel bans and such. It is also subject to change if WDW is impacted in a way that they are running a...

How are crowds and weather in May?

We arrived on Mother's Day in 2018 and came home on Mother's Day last year to get 2 trips on the same annual pass. It rained A LOT in 2018 - like we had maybe 2 hours without rain the whole week. It was not pleasant. DH is a golfer so his rounds got rained out. I loathe rain. Spending the...

    Stupid ticket question

If you have an After Hours ticket and a regular ticket linked to your Magic Band how do you make sure a day isn't subtracted from your park pass when you enter the park at 7PM? If there is room for error here I am sure the error will happen to me.

Price increase for Magic Kingdom Dessert Parties, price now includes beer/wine

I have the Garden Viewing party with dessert before the fireworks booked for June. At first the WDW site DID say alcohol was included in all 3 parties, but they have now taken that phrasing off of the "before" party description. I think there was a lot of confusion initially.

Liberty Tree Tavern or Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch?

We were SUPER disappointed in LTT last year. It used to be one of our favorites for lunch but we probably won't go back.

What restaurants won’t you go to again?

Tony's. I already knew it was going to be awful, but DH really, really, REALLLLLYYYYY wanted to try it. Yep. Awful. Truly awful. Never again. Le Cellier. We went 3 or 4 times, but it was never all that impressive. No need to go back. BoG. We went several times for lunch and it never got any...

Can anyone recommend a “special” experience for our family trip in May?

Highway in the Sky is A LOT of alcohol. For the price, I would not do it if anyone in your party isn't drinking. You could certainly arrange your own "progressive dining" across the monorail resorts with a different course at each place. That would be much more flexible, and since you are DVC...

Is Dinosaur really rough or is it me?

It IS rough, and the back is worse than the front. I have a bad back so I don't ride it frequently. Several years ago we had a chat with a CM who said if I do ride I should request the front because it is not as jerky, and I think that is accurate.

    Beverage Tastings for 2020

This happens every year. They drag their feet on updating the website, even after they send out an e-mail patting themselves on the back for it. I fussed at them about it last year and they obviously don't care.

Character Dining vs Character meets for a 10YO girl

I am taking my 10 year old niece on a "girls' trip" next year. She has pretty much zero interest in characters, and ABSOLUTE zero interest in princesses. We are doing breakfast at Crystal Palace before MK opens one morning, and a late breakfast at Tusker House another day. She has not been to...

Ohana ADR change from 3 to 4 people

'Ohana actually has triangular tables that legitimately only seat 3 people.

Space Mountain for the World’s Biggest Ride Chicken.

I am not a ride chicken. I do not enjoy Space Mtn because it is rough. Since it is dark, you can't see which way the track is turning so you can't "lean into it". The back of the seat is only shoulder height (I am 5'5") so your head flops around. I think you might want to skip it.

    DDA Chapter 27

It would have been fun to see you!! DS moved out there to be with his girlfriend, but the reality is not as rosy as the theory. So we'll see. He is currently working PT at the outlet mall. He has gone to some auditions but I honestly think he may not stay long term unless something changes...

    DDA Chapter 27

We are doing well, thanks! Miss you guys, too! DH & I are headed to WDW on Saturday. DS moved to Kissimmee at the end of February but we aren't sure how long that will last. We miss him tons, so can't wait to see him.

    Spa Discount

I have done massages, facials, and mani/pedi, all at SSR. They were all terrific, with the exception of the one facial tech who was extremely condescending. The facial was fine, but her attitude was not! She basically scolded me about the department store products I use on my face and implied...

    Spa Discount

I missed the 40% last May because it started after we left. In September it was supposed to be over, BUT they very quietly extended it so I got 40% off. It was AMAZING!! Just booked today for the first week of May. A bigger discount would be splendid!

Has anyone recently been to the DVC mixology or other beverage tasting series at TOTWL?

We did the wine tasting at OKW and the Mixology at TOTW in September, and we really had a great time at both! OKW was I think 4 wines with some bites to pair with them. It seems like there was a sparkling as well, so 5. The pinot noir was one we had tasted before and enjoyed, and we also liked...
