I agree on the late night reservations. We have two kids also and have had them down there at those ages. We found that eating earlier and snacks later was better for everyone. Enjoy your trip!

We bought the kids mp3 players. They are cheaper then the ipods and better for the youger kids. If they forget and leave them in their pockets. It just might end up in the wash.(been there, done that lol) Good luck ::MickeyMo::MinnieMo:earsboy::earsgirl:

Just got back from Wilderness Lodge. It is beautiful at Christmas!! We traveled from the suburbs of Pa. We traveled 95 and we had traffic 20 minutes south of Washington.There is construction for approx. 20 miles. They are widening the highway. Jacksonville highways are still under contruction...

We are also leaving on Tuesday from Pa. and going to Bluffton SC. It's just outside of HHI. You have to pass through it to get to HHI. From HHi it should be approx. 6 hrs. drive time. The worst traffic you hit will be Jacksonville. We did this trip two years ago and the constuction around there...

I second that! We drive every year to Disney from Pa. Savannah is very cool. We are leaving for Disney in less then 2 weeks. We will be stopping in Hilton Head and heading over to Savannah for a day. We have a 9 and 6 year old. Both enjoy the sites. Have fun and enjoy your trip!!!!!

We have stayed at many Hampton Inns on 95. We like those best and have not had a bad stay at any of them. I believe we stayed there once. Should be fine. Good luck on your trip.
