We are interested in visiting St. John on our next cruise. Would it be possible to visit St. John/Trunk Bay on our own? If anyone has done this, could you provide me some advice on how to start planning our "excursion". Or should we purchase a Disney excursion to Trunk Bay?

I just got a passport picture today at the local AAA. If you are a AAA member it is $6.42. Super Walmart stores charge $10.00...at least in North Carolina and Virginia. I am not sure if you can use a digital camera to take the pictures on your own.
