I have a note from the doctor stating that these meds and needles need to be carried one, but is there anything else I need to do? Can I just throw them in my carry on and not make a big deal out of it unless they ask me? Or do I need to announce it to the baggage screener? Thank you!!

I think it depends on the resort. Some resorts are impossible to trade into especially for certain time periods, so the amount of points it would take if you could do it is not relevant. I don't know anything about Hawaii, but I'm sure if you post the name of the resort someone can give you...
