    Disney’s Magic Band FAQ Link

Hi! We are planning to return to WDW next month after taking a break since 2019. We were AP holders for years and stayed onsite frequently, so I have at least 35 old magic bands. Some of the very original ones, and some of the redesigned ones after that. Will either of these types still work? We...

What's the most dangerous food you've ever eaten?

Krystal last weekend. Never, ever, ever again. I don't think I've ever had food poisoning before that.

    Finding a therapist

Having done the same thing very recently, I feel for you. I went through my company's EAP program, which was really just a list of participating doctors. One didn't even return my call. One was no longer participating, one had a 3 month wait.. I was finally able to find one, and I actually...

    Buc-Ees question from a Brit!

One just opened on Monday a few miles from me. It's just south of Jacksonville on I95 for anyone taking that route to Disney :) There's also one that looks very close to opening closer to Daytona. I passed it this weekend, but don't remember exactly where it was.

What food is your state/home known for? How do you make it?

I grew up in the midwest, home of giant pork tenderloin sandwiches. I can't get them in FL, so I make my own. Get a bunch of those small boneless pork chops and have your butcher run them through the tenderizer about 3 times so they're really thin. Dip them in egg, then crushed saltines. Deep...

Ladies: What is your go to websites good workout leggings?

I'm loving Fabletics lately. Pricy, but they stay put, and they're comfy.

    Cat owners and furniture?

We got rid of a brown microfiber couch last year, which was great. No scratches, and didn't really show the cat hair - and it was easy to vacuum off if it did. We replaced it with a light gray woven fabric, and I hate it. EVERY little scratch pulls the threads out of the weave. And, since she...

What's the weirdest request you've seen to deal with COVID-19?

Not a request, but I saw a cashier in the next lane wearing a face shield, and no mask. The problem was, the face shield was around her neck, upside down. So, technically her face was covered, as long as she didn't move her head.. which of course she did. There was also plexiglass between the...

What shoes/trainers do you wear the most?

Chucks. In about a dozen colors/prints. For running, I'm really liking the Nike React Miler, and the Air Zoom Vomero 14 right now.

Ever Been Kind of Insulted By a Christmas Gift?

omg! That's awful. My own grandmother wasn't exactly fond of me either, but didn't do that.. what she did do was send my sister (4 years younger) birthday cards/gifts, but not me. That whole side of the family had issues though. One week they were all against one particular person, the next week...

Piggybacking on yesterday’s Happy Festivas post....

My DH cannot, for the life of him, put garbage in the garbage can. It ends up on the counter on TOP of the garbage can. Also, my cat cannot stand for the rug to be clean. It MUST have cat vomit on it.

    Work parties/gifts

We typically have a catered (in house/campus restaurant) lunch, and a fun party type thing. Last year we did a murder mystery dinner. This year, my department chose to give us about $100 in extra 'points'. We have a program where we can be given points for recognition/etc. and cash out for...

Do you like to do jigsaw puzzles?

We have framed a few.. One of The Disney Villains from Ceaco is currently hanging on my office wall, and we have a Mel's Diner in the hallway. The rest get broken up and put back in the box.

Do you like to do jigsaw puzzles?

I love love love puzzles. We actually just finished a Magic Puzzle one, and it was fantastic. I like them because they're a distraction. When I was going through a really rough time at work, I needed something to concentrate on. Enter jigsaw puzzles. Plus, theres just something satisfying about...

    Google Home/Alexa

We had a Google home, but replaced it with Alexa. We don't use it for a whole lot, but it is integrated into our thermostat, which is soooo awesome. We also find ourselves asking a lot of random questions.

    Worst movie ever?

Rubber. It's about a killer tire. And it is awesomely bad.

Have you ever seen a celebrity in the street?

I passed John Cleese on the street once, but to be fair, it was on the way to see him on stage later that day. I didn't want to bother him, so I was ecstatic when he and Eric Idle did a short meet and greet and signed autographs after the show.

    OI meetup question

I attended last night's (Saturday 12/12) meetup. It was a little different from the ones I've been to previously (I think all of them except the first 2 or 3?). We stayed at HRH so we had EP and EPA. We went to IoA around 7:30 on Saturday morning, walked on Spiderman and Kong, and I had a...

Help for gnats in house - small update if interested #14

I had the same thing awhile back. It drove me nuts, because I could not figure out where the heck they came from. The ONLY thing that had changed was my neighbor (townhouse) had moved out. We think they were coming from there somehow, because when a new tenant moved in, they disappeared. I...

    OI meetup question

Thanks for the review! I've been reading the FB page all day and I'm incredibly nervous for next Saturday. Did mask enforcement seem to take a hit when the event started? I'm seeing a decent number of maskless photos, and reports of people being allowed to eat in ride lines. I've been to quite a...
