    Wishes, Nighttime Parade and Wheelchairs

Speaking as a now thirty something, when my parents finally had to resort to being pushed in a wheel chair and then finally ECVs, I was in my 20's. It may have been different from when my parents were younger and could walk through the parks all day, but ultimately, having their mobility...

50s Prime Time & Sensitive Guests??

I would say there are a lot of different experiences. I didn't go there for the longest time because I had heard so much about the "fun" and I really didn't want to be put on the spot for being a picky eater. I started going there when I was in my 20's and I had a plan as how to handle any...

DD hates the thought of almost all rides, any ideas?

I also refuse to go in A Bug's Life and I'm in my 20's. I would recommend watching videos on Youtube of potential rides she would be able to go on such as Small World, Winnie the Pooh, etc. It might be helpful to be nonchalant and say that YOU are watching videos to get you in the Disney mood...

Rain tips Please! Give me your best tips.

    1. Expect rain. 2. Buy ponchos before the trip. 3. Check the weather forecasts to get some idea as to which days are going to have the most rain and plan accordingly. Sometimes if I want to see any outdoor shows or parades then I want to save them for a less rainy day because then they are...

So what kind of "medical issue" is this...? (Guest behaving badly)

Oh goodness, so many posts and many of which have valid points. Here's my background for what it's worth. I have two degrees in psychology and am 9 months from my doctorate, two concentrations in child and adolescent psychology, and a degree in criminal justice. I've worked with every...

    Filming Attractions

Hello! I plan on bringing my camcorder to my upcoming DLR trip. I plan on recording each ride, attraction, show, etc. at least once. Are there any attractions which filming is NOT allowed? I do not use any external lighting but I know in WDW there are some attraction where filming has been...

    How to find characters

So is there a proper Disneyland character etiquette for approaching characters found about the park?

    How to find characters

Hello everyone! I am new to this side of the boards as I am usually on the WDW side. I am taking my first trip to Disneyland this month, after about 12 trips to WDW, and I feel out of my element. I've read up on some of the helpful threads on here. So I was wondering, how does one go...

    Princess Not Married??

Snow White is a princess by birth. The huntsman refers to her as "Princess" in the film.

    Goofy looked goofy in 1983...

:yay: Oooooo I love seeing pictures of how characters have "evolved" over the years. I haven't seen one of Goofy in a while.

    Tangled

That's what I was thinking!!! :cutie: I just wondered if anyone asked Rapunzel.

    Tangled

That actually wouldn't work with the plot of the story. ;) Remember Mother Gothel cut a bit of Rapunzel's hair as an infant and it stayed that way 18 years later.

    Tangled

In the past I have been told that King Triton is able to give Ariel her legs and the fin or the Blue Fairy for Pinocchio. This is why I am curious as to the explanation for Rapunzel.

    Tangled

Has anyone met Rapunzel to ask how her hair came back to this style after it was "changed" (trying not to spoil anything) at the end of the movie? I'm just curious as to how Rapunzel would respond!

    Disney Jokes

Hello all! I'm hosting a children's disney costume/birthday party this weekend and I have started collecting Disney jokes for children. Here are the ones I have listed so far, but do you have any more???? :rotfl: Q: Why are there no planes where peter pan lives? A: Because there is a...

    Best Park for Rain

I vote for MK! The attractions/resturants/stores are close enough together so that a run through the rain is usually a short one.

If YOU could work at Disney...

Another vote to be friends with Alice in Wonderland! :lovestruc I've seen nearly all the film interpretations (and there are A LOT) and read the stories at least ten times. "Veteran" CMs who have been friends with characters have told me I would be hired to be friends with Alice in a...

Share Your Healty Eating Tips at WDW

My family tries to watch what we eat on trips as well. Though we do indulge in the dessert/snacks throughout WDW. What we do is "plan" what our indulgence will be before hand such as a pastry from Norway or ice cream at MK. We've been there enough times that we know what we like so knowing we...

    Contact lenses and rides!

I've been wearing soft contacts for 13 years (nearly half my life). I've never had a problem with contacts in the parks. Never had them dry out/lost/tear/etc. *knocks on wood* I do bring contact solution with me into the parks (there are some very small bottles) just in case a spec of...

    Extra Clothing for Air Conditioning?

I carry a lightweight sweater in my backpack or tied around my waist. The airconditioning itself isn't so much an issue, but coming in from the rain to air conditioning, I find myself much more comfortable with the sweater. It is a level of comfort, but not necessary.
