Graycliff Chocolatier – The Art of Chocolate Making and Factory Tour

This excursion rocked, especially if you get Kiki as your guide. We (dh, me, 11 year old dd and 7 year old ds) loved it!!! The kids initially hated the paper gown and caps you have to wear in the factory but once we got started they got over it. And there is no issue with bringing the chocolate...

whats the worst thing that happened on a dcl cruise

I guess the worst was in 2008 when we sailed during Tropical Storm Faye. We couldn't dock back in Port Canaveral, had to dock in Port Everglades then be bussed back to Canaveral. Because we had early seating for dinner we had to be at breakfast at 4:30 in the morning and off the ship by 7:00...

    How Old?

We just got back from the Dream almost a week ago and this was the first time my dd was eligible for the Edge. She was so excited about it. She is 11, will be 12 next month, just started 7th grade. We did allow her to go off on her own. It's a ship, where is she going to go? I do realize that...

    Withdrawal from the Patch

I just got off the ship on Thursday and I'm still feeling the dizzy effect. It's getting a little better but I often still feel the sensation of the ship moving. It's the one thing I don't like about cruising, the after effects. Just more proof that I really should just stay on the ship. :lmao:

August 11, 2014 - Alaskan cruise on the Wonder

Hi all!! Just back from the Dream and while onboard we booked this cruise to Alaska. In our party it is me (40), husband (42), daughter (11), son (7) and my parents (73 and 76). We have been on 5 Disney cruises, so with this one we get our gold lanyards. So excited, I already started a countdown...

    Cruise Director on the Dream?

I just got off the Dream on Thursday and currently you have Darrin, who I think is wonderful.

    Cruise Directors

Just off the Dream with Darrin and he said that he's going to the Wonder next. He's hoping for some Alaska sailings next summer. I told him he had to be on our Alaska sailing as he's my favorite. He's only been on the Dream for about 4 weeks, he said.

What is the latest update on the refrig ?

From what I read the family suites at AoA were exempt from the change. Cars, Nemo, and LK should all still have fridges. It's the LM rooms that don't.

What is the latest update on the refrig ?

Shoot!!! I guess it's not looking good for us. We check in to a Nemo Suite on Wednesday. My parents are in a Cars suite, also checking in on Wednesday. My sister checks into a Little Mermaid room on Friday. I just sent them a text to not plan on having a fridge. My dh is not going to be happy...

What is the latest update on the refrig ?

Am I correct that AoA was not a part of the fridge replacement? Those were fine, I thought I read. We will be there next week.

What's the first thing you do after boarding?

Tear up when the CM's announce our family name and all clap for us. I love this. My dd actually recorded it on her iPod last summer when we boarded the Magic. Head straight up to the pool deck for lunch and a swim/Aquaduck. Love the posting to Facebook suggestion. Definitely have to do...

    When you first board...

We always choose the earliest arrival time possible. When we board we are usually in group 2 but last year's cruise out of NY we had group 5 . We are a group of 11 also so we usually have a few bags. We head up to Cabanas, grab lunch at a table outside then most of us change into our suits...

Has anyone here done this excursion? If so, how was it? Good, bad, horrible? :confused3 I just reserved it for my family for our upcoming Dream cruise.

What age for pin trading/penny pressing?

My dd's first trip to Disney was about a month before her 4th birthday. She loved doing the pressed pennies but that was because we do them in all different kinds of places so she was used to that. She did get into pin trading at that age but mainly because her older cousins were doing it. I say...

    I Just don't "get" Soarin?

We love Soarin'. The first time we were at Disney after it had arrived I was 8 months pregnant. I remember asking a CM if I would be able to ride this in my condition. He said it was no different than sitting in a rocking chair and as long as I wasn't afraid of heights, it should be no problem...

Dress code for young boys at dinner

My ds and my nephew have always worn pants to dinner with a nice button down or golf shirt. And my ds has been on 4, soon to be 5 cruises, between the ages of 16 months and 7 years old. I often have my ds wear his pants twice since he doesn't have them on long enough for them to really get...

Getting a pic of the welcome signs

I've simply taken them through the windshield while we are driving. Some turn out better than others.
