I also posted this on the roll call thread for April 19 Magic in 2008. I just called Disney Res about changing our cruise from April 5 to April 19, 2008 and was told the cruise is completely booked! Is this true?????????
Sad in NJ :confused3
Hi all,
We had originally booked on-board for the week of April 5, 2008. Our school calendar came out last week so I called this morning to change it to the April 19, 2008 cruise and was told by Disney that the cruise is completely booked!!!! Does anyone know if that is true, or is there...
It cost about $15.00 to have it shipped to NJ. The lady at the Disney Store was extremely nice.
I'll send pics of the snowglobe as soon as I get it back! It is a 2006 one that was on special on the Magic for $30.
We were on the Magic this week and I noticed at CC there are 2 piers, one where the ship always docks and one at the end, perpendicular to the nose of the ship. I don't know if there would be room for both at the same time or not, but it looks like they may have made provisions for it.
We just rebooked while on the Magic this week and requested the 6:00 seating. They had no problem with that. As long as there is still room in that time slot, they should not have a problem getting that specific. It doesn't bother us at all whether there are other kids in the same age bracket...
Just got off the Magic! The dispensers sell Tide powder and Downey liquid packets (I spent $2.00 on the Downey before I realized they weren't dryer sheets!). All are $1.00 a pop.
We just got home from Orlando today and thought I'd post this warning. We purchased a lovely snowglobe on the Magic this week and I didn't want to pack it in the checked luggage because of the potential for breakage. It never occured to me that it would be confiscated due to the liquid in it...

Hurray! We are leaving tomorrow. We'll leave home about 11:30, pick up DD from school and drive down to Philly, catch a 4:00 PM flight to Orlando. We're staying at the Fairfield Inn Airport.
I'd better go dump everything in the suitcase. I have about a hundred piles of stuff all over the...
Does anyone know if there are 110 AC outlets in the pool areas anywhere? I would like to be able to use my laptop while my DD is swimming, but my battery doesn't last very long. It would be nice to have a place to plug in.
Hey Michele,
I know why MLK was so crowded this week....it was Jersey Week. All the public schools in the state of NJ were closed on Thurs and Fri for a teachers convention. A whole lot of families take that opportunity to take a family vacation. We did that last year.

Hey Diszy, I know what you're talking about and I understand!
We are now just the 3 of us, me, my DP and our 7 yr old daughter, Jordyn. Wendy's (my dp) mom fell and broke her leg back in August and has had nothing but problems with it since. She's had surgery on it, pflebitis (I think...
We cruised the Magic 2 yrs ago Halloween and it was fun. Make sure you find the DISBoards Halloween thread on the "Who's cruising when" thread and sign up for the DIS trick or treat. it is tons better than the cruise sponsored trick or treat. And don't forget your door decorations!
We had late seating on our first (and only, so far) Disney cruise and we hated it. We had tried for early seating but couldn't get it. The result was that my wife and I didn't get to eat in the dining room with the rest of the family (my sister, parents-in-law, brother-in-law) very often. Our...
We have sailed on several cruise lines and once on Disney. Our servers on Disney were well below the level of the other experiences we have had. Everything was extremely slow, lots of mistakes, and we had to repeatedly ask for things like drink refills. We had late seating, so my DD who was 5...
My DD was 5 on our first 7 day Disney cruise in 2004. She had a blast at the kid's club. She wanted to be there all the time. She ate meals there, even dinner a couple nights when we let her. The only time she wasn't in kid's club was when she wanted to go swimming. We left her in the club...
We took it several years ago and it was alot of fun. The first part of the tour was kind of tough, because you start out in rough water, after that it was smooth going. I would recommend it. We had a great time.
