I learned this trick from my dad, but I don't do it. During the day it's hard to see and at night it can be aggravating or worse. When people do it to me I'm never sure if they are telling me my brights are on or there's a speed trap up ahead.

WL has handicap accessible rooms with standard views and rooms with courtyard views. My wife and I stayed in a courtyard view room on our last trip.

DR's contract is good through 2006, so unless he chooses to retire before then, CBS is essentially stuck with him. This is not his first fiasco and probably won't be his last. He is a complete embarrassment, but that's what happens when someone stays in a job too long.

It is very admirable to take care of your FIL. It is difficult to teach someone with Alzheimer's, but some people with the disease do respond well to carefully planned routines. It may be possible over time to get him to stop responding to the door, but it would have to be repeated constantly...
