    Is test track still closed?

All of Future World needs to be rethemed. I hadn't toured it completely since 2000 and it really hadn't changed much when we were there 3 weeks besides Mission Space and Soaring which we had already done in 2006.

    1900 Park Fare or Ohana's

We ate at Ohana 2 weeks ago with a 7:35 ADR. We have 2 boys- 14 and 9 who would revolt with Mary Poppins. We took our picture, took our time with the characters, participated in the parade, had an excellent breakfast with seconds on the bacon and Mickey waffles (my boys' fave), got on the...

One meal outside of theme park but on Disney property

What about T-Rex at Downtown Disney? We didn't eat there, but we walked in the gift shop and it seemed fun. We have a Rainforest Cafe in our hometown and our kids were scared of the gorillas until about age 4 then they loved it until they outgrew it about age 10. T-Rex is the same concept...

Is HRH too "rock music-y" for fuddy duddy old husband?

Just back from HRH. Stayed there in 2006, loved it, stayed again last week and LOVED it even more. If you go out the side gate by the pool, you can walk to US in 5 minutes and IOA in about 10. The room was very comfortable with plenty of space for 4 including a 15 year old and 2 weeks worth of...

Just Back -- Info on Photoconnect

I wish I had read this thread prior to my trip. We were at Universal 4 days and I asked different photo people about the package getting different responses. The photoshop at the front of the park told me that the ultimate package was $80 for one day, but you could bring tickets from previous...

    Ollivander's question

Just back. My DS 10 was picked last week. The line at Ollivanders was 55 minutes at 8:15 am for early entry so we skipped it. DS kept talking about going back so we left US around 8:00 and went back to IOA. The line was about 30 minutes. DH is a talker and talked it up with the workers watching...

What rides are open during early park admission?

We rode RRR 5 times in a row at early entry last week. Forbidden Journey had a 45 minute wait already at 8:15, but it wasn't a bad wait going through the castle. It's less of a wait to go in the evening. The wait was 30 minutes around 7:30. We rode in the single rider line with no wait since we...

Animation Academy - Wanna share your drawing?

Thanks for the tip! :-) Everything is less crowded in the morning obviously. ;) Maybe it won't be crowded in the evening either. Fun!

Animation Academy - Wanna share your drawing?

Do you have to sign up for that? What's a good time to go? DS is doing Jedi academy on our only DHS day and we want to hit RR and ToT in the morning.

What do you bring with you in the parks

We not only bring a backpack full of everything the PP's have described, but we also bring a small cooler full of ice cold water and some sodas. Instead of carrying it around all day, we then bring a cheap umbrella stroller for transport. Works great. No one touches it except the CMs. All the...

    Fantastic package ?

I recently called WDW-DINE for exact prices and Mama Melrose is $38.33 ages 10+ and $12.77 for kids including taxes not gratuity. It includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert on the "Fantasmic package" menu. We opted to see the late show instead.

    Strategy for DHS???

Click on theme parks at the WDW site at the top, choose DHS then on the left there is a link for calendar. Click on that and go to August and click on Thursday then a schedule comes up. I was finalizing our itinerary and stumbled upon it looking for show times. Hope I wasn't hallucinating. Lol.

Chef Mickeys or Ohana Character Bkfst?

On our last trip, Mickey wrote in DS' autograph book how Stitch had toilet papered the castle the night before and was a mischievous alien. He was only 4 and never stopped talking about it to this day. That was 2006. Not sure if Mickey is even there now, but we have our ADR for August 7th and DS...

    Crowd at second Fantasmic Show??

When I found out that Mama Melrose Fantasmic package was going to be $38 a person, DH and I decided we would just forego Fantasmic this trip. Then, I saw the added show and got really excited. The guy who does the Easy WDW website mentioned in the what parks are best on which days that a second...

    Strategy for DHS???

So to be safe, be at the DHS gates by 8:30. I'm not a morning person, but I become one on our Disney vacations to not wait in line. Do the other parks let guests in earlier than the posted opening times too?

    Crowd at second Fantasmic Show??

Saw it first at Steve Soares website then double checked with the official WDW website's calendar. It's the week of August 5th. They also added an 11:00 MSEP that week. :cool1:

    Strategy for DHS???

What time is rope drop? They have official opening at 9:00 but some people have posted that they're letting people in at 8:30??? We're checking into the Dolphin early that morning (switching resorts), want to drop the bags off, and get on the boat over there as early as we can. If we're at...

    Crowd at second Fantasmic Show??

Nice! Makes for a fun evening. Will be our fourth time seeing it, but little DS was 4 last time and just remembered Mickey shooting flames. Lol. He really wants to see the show and he's 9- old enough to stay awake at 10:30. :-)
