It's been a very long time.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. Its neat to see so many familiar faces are still here. Our next Disney trip will actually be to Disneyland, rather than WDW. We just visited Disney World last September (Hurricane Irma hit during our stay).

It's been a very long time.

Hello all, I used to be a regular here many years ago, but its been at least 10 years since I last posted here. My wife Mandy and I are in the midst of planning our next Disney vacation, which got me thinking about this board. I just wanted to say hi and I hope all of you are doing well. Don

    Major Shakeup Effective Feb 1

It may not be a shake up, but anything that disrupts the current management at WDW (even temporarily) is a good thing. I am especially pleased that Meg Croften is not long in charge in Orlando.

    What A Sad, Boring Place

Wow, lots of familiar names from way back when on this thread. I used to love hanging out here.

    January 2013 Discounts

Yes. Stay play and dine saved us nearly $250 over the room only discount for the same package (6 nights CBR, 2 adults, park hoppers, standard dining package).

A comparison of January room only vs Stay Play and Dine discount

I thought it might be helpful to show the differences between the room only and stay play and dine discounts that came out today for next year. All quotes include the following: CBR 1/21 - 1/27, 2 Adults, no kids (six nights, standard view double bed) 7 day Park hopper tickets (no water park...

I can find nothing but club rooms and suites for the Royal Pacific for end of January

Anybody know if there is an event at the Royal Pacific the weekend of January 21-23. I was holding off booking hoping the rates would come down, and suddenly there is nothing available that weekend under $300 a night! I ended up holding a room at the Hard Rock for 235 a night, but I was hoping...

    Cat People - A Question

I had to address this, as I have heard heard many people say this in the past. It is a myth that domesticated cats can survive well in the wild. Domesticated cats were not bred to survive in the wild. Yes, it is possible for some to survive this way, but those that do are constantly hungry...

In some creepy news from Florida this week...

Perhaps a new political party could arise from this. We already have the Donkeys and the elephants, why not the goats? I can see the campain slogan now: Vote Goat! We're not that Baaaaad!

    Stabbing at local university today

Colonal Mustard, in the library, with the candlestick (Your statement seemed to indicate that you did not have a clue, so I thought I'd give you one). I send you greetings from Austin Texas, home of The University of Texas, a great southern university.

    Iceland should have to pay

Well, God does have very deep pockets seeing as he owns all time, space and creation (even with the recent drop in real estate prices, that must still have some value). Still, in my opinion suing the ultimate judge = not such a good idea. Besides, the litigation could literally go on forever.

    Unversity of Phoneix

Our firm will not interview any applicants who have a degree from The University of Phoenix. I do not recommend them. There are lots of better, less expensive choices out there.

    Walt Disney's Final Resting Place

The rumor is that he was frozen, and they even take him on tour around the country from time to time. The tour is called... And you thought it was an ice skating show.

    Dark Shadow in Vision

It sounds a lot like the a sysmptoms of a migraine called an aura. I get these from time to time. It took my doctor forever to figure out what was going on. Auras often look exactly like the after image left on your retina from a bright light. They can last anywhere from 10 minutes to 12 hours...

Obama: Rich can afford tax hike

Interesting assumptions. My experience tells me differently. My church, and EVERY Methodist Church, gives to all of the causes you listed. I can say this with certainty because every Methodist church gives a portion of its offerings to the UMC in a system called apportionments. These funds are...

Obama: Rich can afford tax hike

I think this only works if you believe that government will do real good with the money, but I'm not sure its been proven that this is the case.
