    2 BR Condo Help

sbclifton - Thanks for the info! Who did you book through for CPGV? spiceycat - I'll take restaurants/larger over no restaurants! My kitchen during vacation typically just houses beverages, pb&j, cereal, fruit and yogurt!

    2 BR Condo Help

We've been to WDW many times and stayed onsite and offsite in rental homes. We're a family of 5 and I want to try an offsite condo. I'm confused at the many choices and timeshares! We are not interested in purchasing but it looks like they are open to public reservations. Is this without sitting...

One-way ME - Only Return to MCO

We are driving in from FLL after a cruise so I won't use ME arriving to Disney, however, I would like to use it on the return to MCO airport. Q1 - Do I need to book this now? Or just wait until I arrive and let them know? Q2 - Can I return a car from a resort? Maybe have them pick it up??

    best family disney park

It really depends on the kid but my 10 year old would say MGM without blinking with Epcot following as a close 2nd. If my whole family had to pick one park for a trip, it would be Epcot.

Need input on when to go...

I say May of 2007! Even though it wasn't an option! May is my favorite time to go... low (relatively) crowds, not too too hot but hot enough for lots of pool time. We took our kids out of school when they were young (K and 1st). It is no longer an option for us now though!

    Recommendations for WDW

We stayed at BC in a 2 br villa once and I highly recommend it. The pool is great and has a wonderful beach area for the little ones. It is so convenient to both Epcot and MGM... my kids love both of these parks, probably more than MK. You have a character breakfast option right there at the...

10 days in Disney w/ pics

I really enjoyed your trip report! You made it very real and special... you guys have a great family! Thanks for all the little tips, especially the one about being open to change (not that I could use that or anything  ). I think you've found a good balance between packing it all in...

    School Vacation Crowds April/May

I agree about 1st week of May. We've gone 1st or 2nd week of May a couple of times and it is my favorite time to go. Can be hot still but we like to use the pool so ok... not sweltering. One year we were at BC and SB slide line was non-existant. The lifeguard said that the crowd a few weeks...

    Where is AK Concierge?

Thanks, Ed! How's the view from the 6th floor? Seems like it would be too high to feel close to the animals.

    Where is AK Concierge?

I just booked a 2 night stay at AK when we return from a cruise. DH is heading home after the cruise so I'll have 3 kids by myself so I must ;) try concierge for the first time. I believe the lounge is accessible from both the 5th and 6th floors. Can someone confirm? Also, where...

    Mvmcp 2006

We've never been to MVMCP and are thinking about timing a trip for it this year. Does anyone know when they typically start the party evenings? Is it ever before Thanksgiving or do they wait until after?

    Disney Quest?

Not worth it for my little one but the older ones did like it a lot. You can get discounted tix in advance that helps with the price. My DS5 and DN8 loved the make your own CD also. If you do not get tix in advance but have an AP, you can get a discount at the door.

    Richard Petty Driving Experience

DH did this on our May 05 trip and loved it. I surprised him with it and he even paid xtra to drive 8 more laps. If you love speed, it is definitely worth it. Do a search on Dis - there are a few threads on it. If you have AAA and maybe AP, you can get a discount. Have to make res in advance...

    Parking for 15-passenger Van

Thanks all! Gillian, I saw a good deal on one from Alamo a few months ago and nabbed it at $65/day. I just took a look to see if anything was better at the last minute and most were not even showing one available and if they did, they were $160/day. And I am not driving that monster...

    Parking for 15-passenger Van

We'll be there in a few weeks and there are 8 of us flying in so we have rented a 15-passenger van and will be using that to get around. We are staying offsite. Question - is there any problem parking a 15-passenger van at the parks? I'm assuming not but don't want to be surprised!

Going to Italy in 5 days. Any tips or suggestions

If I had to choose between the Vatican area and the Colosseum, I would definitely do St Peters and The Sistine Chapel. The beauty and history and inspriation is amazing. I did get pick-pocketed at a subway stop. I had read all the guide books which said to hold onto your purse or...
