Just back fropm POP - any questions?

Here at POP Century now thru Saturday......you left in time for the cool spell to hit. It was pretty chilly at the Parks on Sunday and Monday...I actually had to wear jeans and a sweatshirt/coat. We are in the 60's building and a corner room at that. It hasn't been all the loud, even on...

Our Family Christmas Trip...live from the Pop Century!

I actually had typed a whole thread for this but somehow it asked me to login again and didn't save what I had typed even though I was already logged in...my bad for not doing it in Word first and saving it. Here is my late abridged version of my first couple of days here.... The...

How much to pay house sitter?

Wow....$250 a week? I don't want to sound cheap but that seems a little much. We have always been lucky...every place we have lived I have always found a very trustworthy college student who goes to our church more than willing to either be out of the dorm or away from Mom and Dad's house...

Anyone else's spouse not want to go?????

Man....not to be harsh, but this says a great deal. If you put in that much time at work you leave the impression that work is more important than the family. I put in some pretty good hours at work and on business trips, but I don't do it "so the wife can stay home and raise the kids". I do it...

    Teacher traveling to Disney

One of the least expensive (free) gifts that I take back to my Team at work is right there in your hotel room, if you are staying on property. The Disney foam/paper coasters that are in your room make a great little gift....and if you get a nice housekeeper, they will add a few extra to your...

    Advice PLEASE!! Chef Mickey's dinner?

In January we went to Chef Mickey's for my DD's birthday breakfast....with plans to head to MK for the full day. When I got there I explained to the Guard at the Gate what our plans were for the day, and advised that we had a Special Needs child and would it be possible to get an all-day parking...

Your favorite Minivan..... I need your help!!!

We presently own a 2000 Toyota Sienna van with 86k miles on it and love it. Whenever we decide to trade for a new one, it will be for another Sienna or a Honda Odyssey, both of which are comparable. I WILL NEVER own another Chrysler product in my lifetime...we owned a Dodge Grand Caravan and...

For veteran DiSsers with autistic children...

SueM: The letter we took with us in Sept 2004 was very specific as to what needs that our son had, and we had very little problems with rides and lines. But unfortunately for us, our son's Aspergers issues have amplified themselves since he entered puberty. mmaddog56 *********

Autism services in North Carolina ?

We now live in Missouri, but I can tell you that my experience with resources for Asperger's children when we lived in NC was not very satisfactory at all. We contacted many of the resources named above and were not at all pleased. We were told that it was because he was a HF, not LF Asperger's...

For veteran DiSsers with autistic children...

What does GAc actually stand for? We took our Asperger's son with us to WDW last in September 2004 and all the Cast Members were very helpful. Has anything truly changed since then? The only thing i was told was to have a letter from his Pediatrician to present to Disney staff to get the...

    All Star Music Suites????

This is the very reason that I believe that trying to use the Suites at the Moderate & the FW Cabins as a marker for pricing is not a good benchmark. I guess what I am saying is that for me, these wouldn't be any type of bargain I would take at anything above $150. I would rent two adjoining...

    All Star Music Suites????

I don't know...if you take a bean-counter point of view, and look at their pricing structure, more than $150-$175 during the Value Season is just not sensible. I could see them charging over $200 during the Peak Season and having a waiting list, but not in the Value Season. mmaddog56 *********

    All Star Music Suites????

I couldn't see Disney being able to sell the idea of paying more than $125-$150 a night for these and still have them being part of the "Value Resort" group. mmaddog56 *********
