Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE Information & Questions

Do they charge the usual extra person fee for the deluxe rooms? If they do, then it would be $100 extra a night if you had 6 adults in the room?

ALOHA! The Polynesian Resort Information Thread: September 2012

Good 2 know that second floor considered 2 have a balcony- I will change our request. I saw on the club level thread that the safari for all CL resorts ended a couple of yrs ago. I think there still is one for AKL CL only.

ALOHA! The Polynesian Resort Information Thread: September 2012

I noticed on the tikimans website that the rooms in Tokelau, Tahiti, and Rapa Nui are around 60 sq ft larger than the other longhouses. What I was wondering is how much difference that makes? Has anyone stayed in both and noticed? I was thinking that i might prefer to alter my requests to put...

ALOHA! The Polynesian Resort Information Thread: September 2012

I only made it through page 30-something in the last thread, and now it's already to a new one! We're at 2 1/2 weeks for a quick weekend off site stay, and just under 2 months for our 8 night Poly stay! Just subscribing.:banana:

    Dining with Mickey

Thank you, thank you, thank you, MistressMerryweather :worship::worship:. Somehow I missed that he was at Ohanas, I thought it was just Lilo and Stitch. That is perfect! I changed our Kona breakfast to Ohanas for our first morning. I might not even worry about checking for Chef Mickey's...

ALOHA! The Polynesian Resort Information Thread: January 2012

I just booked our first stay at the Poly for Halloween week this year in a standard room, and I have a few questions. I'm sorry if they are pretty basic to those of you who know the resort inside out, and I imagine they might be answered somewhere in this thread, but I haven't even come close...

    Dining with Mickey

Other than Chef Mickey's, what character meals have Mickey in attendance? I can't believe I don't know the answer to this question off of the top of my head! I never had to worry about character dining before, but now I have a 2 1/2 yr old and I love watching him interact with characters...

Beuna Vista Palace to MK before park opening

Yep, I put in Saratoga Springs (b/c I couldn't find BVP offhand) to Contemporary, and came up with estimate of $20.88 with 10% tip, so it would be almost $50 if you tipped more. I guess when you're on vacation and used to spending money that doesn't seem as bad, I don't remember cab fare being...

Beuna Vista Palace to MK before park opening

Well, we aren't going to switch to a value resort. We're paying $70 a night for each room (4 rooms), with a downtown Disney View in their tower. It's actually a nice resort with plush rooms and balconies, it just isn't Disney. My brother planned the trip based on the flash room sale he came...

Beuna Vista Palace to MK before park opening

I haven't made plans from MCO to the hotel yet, that's next. Thinking about a town car, but I have to look into doing that with a toddler. It would be easier to rent a car, but probably a lot more expensive for the 4 days, and it wouldn't be used much - just to and from the airport and for...

Beuna Vista Palace to MK before park opening

Hi, For the first time we will not have a car on our long weekend trip, and are staying at the Buena Vista Palace instead of on property. The Buena Vista Palace is on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, directly across the Street from Saratoga Springs and Downtown Disney. I have an 8 AM reservation at...

Help me understand why the Disney Visa is a good thing...

I've had a Disney Rewards VIsa for years, and now that the premier visa has come out I've seen the offers for a $200 credit (or bonus or some way to give you $200) if you sign up. Does anyone know if this is only for new cardholders, or if you can get the $200 if you are upgrading?

Port Orleans Riverside FAQ thread - Royally Refurbished for 2011

I was just catching up with the thread and I read this. Yikes! You do all fit into 2 rooms, but I know I would go crazy with those arrangements and my family/inlaws! I don't need a lot of room for vacation (although I do like it), we've styed at the All Stars and Pop and didn't mind the room...

Both parks November 7th - express pass plus question

Thanks so much for your input. That was what I was hoping to hear, I think we'll hold off on buying the passes until we get there if it hasn't been that crowded and the general consensus is the passes won't see out if we would need them. It's in less than 2 weeks, hopefully not that much will...

Both parks November 7th - express pass plus question

Planning on going to Universal on Monday November 7th and getting a one day 2 park pass. We had planned on buying the both parks express plus pass, figuring we would rather have ridiculously expensive tickets but get to see as much as possible in one day and not wait in many lines (just the new...

Port Orleans Riverside FAQ thread - Royally Refurbished for 2011

We always go on either our arrival day or the next day and get snacks, drinks, and alcohol. We usually end up getting too much, but getting too much at Target is still a lot cheaper than buying snacks at Disney. We buy: water a few diet coke's for when we're too lazy to get our mugs...

Port Orleans Riverside FAQ thread - Royally Refurbished for 2011

I can't tell you exact directions, so hopefully someone else will be able to help you with specifics. But I can tell you we always have a car, and always make multiple trips to Wal mat and Target, and they aren't far. I have found that the super Target is nicer then the Super Wal Mart (IMHO)...

Port Orleans Riverside FAQ thread - Royally Refurbished for 2011

The way it is now, with no difference between parking lot view and garden view, we always request a view that is not of a parking lot. But over the years I have decided that doesn't really matter as much. When we have stayed at a deluxe resort we used the private balcony a lot, we would take...
