On our 7 night Western last month, we tipped $150 because I didn't think the Concierge should be tipped more than the wait staff. I also think that the Concierge is less tip-dependent than the wait staff since it used to be a non-tipped service. I agree that DCL should provide guidance.

DW wanted to upgrade to Cat 3 at port, they were all gone. We went for the remaining Cat 2 instead. What a gorgeous room.

They used to allow smoking in the lounges, which was a good option in the cooler evenings. I agree with DCL's decision to stop that as the ventilation system in the lounges were lacking. Grand Cayman is a good spot to pick up Cubans, stay away from the cigar shops in Cozumel.

Last time we cruised, I spent a lot of time in the comfy chairs outside the Cove Cafe with my cigars. I understand that the smoking section is moved to the starboard side, I hope they moved those chairs as well. After dinner, i usually have a cigar on the veranda as well.

Do we need passports for this cruise? What about for minors?

Can you use the pool if you're not a guest of the resort? I was under the impression that you had to have a room, not just be a DVC member.

We made the mistake of walking to the Southernmost point. While the town near the port is an enjoyable walk with shops to browse, it gets pretty boring and becomes a long walk to The Point.

Four of us are parasailing at 10:30am. I have no indication of cancellation. I just checked the DCL website and the reservation is still there.
