We had the best time at Fort Wilderness 8/17 - 8/24! It was our 3rd visit to the cabins over the last 7 years, but it was by far the best, probably because our kids are now 6 and 8 years old. We were very anxious given we arrived the day after the campground reopened from Hurricane Charley...

We just returned from a mid/late August trip to FW Cabins. Since we had a rental car, we did our grocery shopping offsite and went ABC Liquors over by Win Dixie. I would think it would even be worth a taxi ride if you are staying for any period of time and tend to spend some time kicking back...
