We did the tour - were very interested in DVC - and ended up buying. You can go to SSR and tour the models on your own time. No incentives given for that. If you want to talk to a Guide (and get the $45 or whatever the incentive is at that moment) you can book an appointment at any DVC kiosk...

My son is 13 and he collects pins. However, he doesn't wear a lanyard full of them and just carries one or two 'traders' with him in case he sees one he wants. We are in tune with the fact it may not be real cool for an older boy to do it so we keep it age appropriate for him...looking for...
