The official Quebec, Saguenay and Baie-Comeau cruise ports thread!

Depends on what class you're looking for but, if you book a few weeks in advance, round trip (including taxes) could range anywhere from CAD$80 (economy) to $CAD 250 for business class (includes food, wine/beer/spirits etc). Economy is just fine, unless you want the splurge... FWIW - we plan to...

The official Quebec, Saguenay and Baie-Comeau cruise ports thread!

For what it's worth - I would highly recommend taking the train from Montreal to Quebec (or vice-versa) if you're planning to spend a few days in Montreal post-cruise. I take the train almost weekly for work and it's a great service (good price too).

The official Quebec, Saguenay and Baie-Comeau cruise ports thread!

Just found this thread - great idea! I'm in Montreal, and I'm scheduled to sail on the September 27th QC-NYC cruise with my family. I was also the first French panelist over at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, so I can help find some more "official" information (if available!) if anyone has any...

** OPENING DAY PRICING 2018 Pt 3 September-December: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

Try flying into Montreal (YUL) and then taking the train to Quebec City. Might be easier -- Quebec's airport is tiny and not very well served.

** OPENING DAY PRICING 2018 Pt 3 September-December: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

Checking out the quoted prices for 9/27 out of Quebec City and.... Whaaaaaaaaaa?? That's crazy. I'm Gold and I was thinking of booking this tomorrow (I live in Montreal) but now I'm having massive second thoughts. :(

So about this Hurricane - 10/7 Dream cancelled, 10/7 Magic Canadian, 10/8 now 10/9 Fantasy 6-night

Yeah, I can't imagine that Halifax on Thanksgiving is going to be particularly exciting for most cruisers. Halifax is dead on Sundays as a general rule - during a major holiday, it must be a ghost town. If I lived in Halifax, I'd be more than happy to share my turkey 'n trimmings with...

Seasickness patch - what would you do?

Just chiming in to say that your motion sickness profile sounds IDENTICAL to mine, and here's my experience with cruises: First cruise - 11 night on the Magic in the Mediterranean in July 2011. The sea was ROCKIN' and even though I felt it and didn't love the feeling, I didn't need any...

    Magic extra party/dining/snack/buffet opportunities

And there is whole milk available near the soda station (beside the coffee). The parents to babies/toddlers all get to know each other when we trudge up there at 6:00 in the morning! LOL

B2B cruise - same cabin possible if one cruise booked on a -GT rate?

Hey everyone, I'm contemplating booking a B2B cruise on the Dream this winter, and I was wondering whether anyone has any experience with B2B cruises booked with a -GT rate. I know that the 3 night cruises rarely have discounted rates, but I'm hoping for a -GT for the 4 night. Has anyone...

    Baby silverware?

Metal forks are fine in your carry-on. ¸ We used some of their "smaller" silverware (our toddler really wanted to be like mom and dad) but we also brought some of our own. We switched back and forth. It was also useful to have "his" silverware when we went on shore excursions. And even in WDW!

Is the FP for Fantasmic worth it?

We were in WDW for 9 nights over Columbus Day weekend and I wound up changing my FP+ around in order to book Fantasmic... Every other time, Fantasmic! was SRO. Whaaa? I would say that the FP is a must if seeing Fantasmic! is a priority for your family. Otherwise, you can take your chances with...

    Disney Parks Moms Panel 2015

Hello everyone! I kept the fact that I had applied for the Moms Panel VERY hush-hush among my friends, family and even my online friends... I figured that there was no way that I would progress beyond Round 2 in my first year. Cue my surprise when I went to clean out my gmail spam filter and...

Disney Magic - First timer cruiser

We were on a similar cruise last year from Dec 7th - 14th. They posted IGT/OGT/VGT rates in October... Does anyone know whether historically the Fantasy releases discounts for that sailing or is the Dec 7th (or thereabouts) sailing the last chance for discounts. You may be able to get your...

    Cruising with a toddler?

I'm actually going to go against the tide re: veranda and say that it's not really necessary with a toddler. Yes, you'll spend more time in your room, but because of the space that the Pack & Play needs, it's actually tough to get around it in order to get to your balcony while your baby is...

    Transatlantic Cruise

I'm curious about transatlantic cruises too - so thanks to the OP for starting a general questions thread! We're thinking about doing the EBTA next year (although ye gads the price has gone up) but I have two concerns: 1) We'll have a 2 1/2 year old with us. Anyone have experience with...

    2015 EBTA sail date

I'm positively drooling over this cruise... I'm just wondering whether it would be a good idea for a 2 1/2 year old and for this momma who (surprisingly) got very seasick on our last cruise. Hmmmm...

Babies Travel Lite Vs Sending your own box

We used Babies Travel Lite on our last cruise in December and they were great. You get to track the shipment via FedEx so you know when it's shipped/received. Our room steward had messed up and switched our box with another family's but that got sorted out within 20 minutes. FYI - it's...

Cruising with an 18 month old

I tell everyone who will listen to me that a DCL cruise is the best vacation for an infant/toddler! We were on the Fantasy with our almost-14 month old last December and he had a blast. The crew was seriously amazing with him, to the point where we were actually "disappointed" at the lack of...
