Tips on things to do in the hot afternoon other than swim or nap?

We sometimes go to DTD and shop or DisneyQuest is fun too and air conditioned. Honestly though, if you aren't relaxing at the pool or napping, you will get tired sooner b/c it is not a real mid day break. Just my opinion. It has happened to us! :)

    CSR... Great Resort, Bad Experience!

Sorry about your bad experience. We love CSR and have never had a problem with noise levels, flushing toilets, painters, housekeeping or children. We have been there in May and JUne at busy times as well. We stayed in the Ranchos-loved it! And this last time Casitas-even better!! In my...

Why is the Coranado Springs Resort so overlooked on this board?

We absolitely love CSR! WE visited in June 2002 stayed in the Ranchos. Loved the secluded feeling of the Ranchos. Grounds were beautiful, everything was clean! Our room was very nice as well. Service in guest services, food court and just all around the resort was great. Soooo...we decided to go...

Crowds early in May this year????

We were there May 9-May 14. We usually go in June and found everything to be wonderful! Crowds were very manageable-most of the time we didn't even use fast pass for our favorite rides b/c you could walk right on. In MK we rode the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain a few times in one...

Just back from 4n/5d at CSR

We have never stayed at a deluxe resort in WDW just because we never felt it was worth so much extra money. We also prefer having the food court over sit downs b/c we prefer to eat at the parks or downtown disney than at restaurant at our resort. We spend so much time out of the rooms except for...

    Late Flight... where to eat?

We had this same problem because we were not renting a car and our flight was due into Orlando at 8:30pm. We figured no probolem-food court will be open. Well, our flight was delayed leaving Punta Cana, the first part of our honeymoon which delayed our arrival into Orlando until 10pm. We had...

Do the rooms at CSR have the curtain....

We just returned from Casitas 4 as well. We had a king water view that did have the curtain. When we stayed in the Ranchos in 2002, there was no curtain separating the room and vanity area. We found it to be so much better with the curtain. I used it every morning so not to wake my new husband! :)

Stay at airport Hyatt or check in late at Disney?

We had considered it as well b/c we will be arriving at CSR late but ultimately decided we would just switch rooms the next day if requests were not granted when we checked in. Also, traveling and changing resorts takes up a lot of time and you could lose hours. :)Good luck.

The UG has me scared of JUNE!!!!!!!

We love going in June. Yes it is crowded and can be very hot. But, with fast pass, midday breaks and lots of water and sunscreen, you will have a great time. We love June b/c everything is open early, and late! You really get to see all the extras-shows, parades, nighttime shows. Have fun!

    Best Place to Propose Marriage!

My fiancee proposed to me during dinner at the California Grill in June of 2002. We were vacationing in WDW for our second trip together. I had no clue he would propose because he had spent the last 6 months telling me he probably would propose until after the holidays (meaning Dec2002). That...

    never been in(mid) June... crowds/weather???

Our two previous trips were in June and we love it. The weather is hot but not unbearable! The crowds are manageable. We always get an early start, head back to the resort for a swim and nap and then head back out around 4pm and get a heads start on the evening so we found the crowds to be okay...

What resort are you going to stay on your honeymoon?

We will be in WDW May 9th-16th. After 8 days in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, we will be staying at Coronado Springs for 6 days! We are so excited! Best of luck on all your honeymoons!:Pinkbounc

    Carribean Beach: Downsides?

We stayed at CBR in June 2000 and loved it. We requested the Jamaica section as we didn't want to be right on top of the food court and themed pool as it seems that is where the families like to stay. Being we were a couple we wanted something a little further away. Jamaica was perfect! The...

    So Whos Going In May?

We'll be there in May for our honeymoon! After 8 days in the Caribbean, we will be heading to WDW from May 9- May 14th! Can't wait! :earsgirl: :earsboy:

    Coronado Springs or Caribbean Beach

We stayed at both CBR and CSR for the past two trips and love both of them! I think CSR has a bigger, better pool with a great slide! It also has a kiddie pool for the little one. I can't coment on playgrounds at either resort b/c I never noticed them. Then again we are a young couple without...

The *NEW* Coronado Springs FAQ Thread

Hi!! We stayed in Ranchos 7b during our 2002 trip and loved it. However, we didn't use the main pool so this trip we were thinking of staying in the Casitas because it is closer to El Centro. For some reason, the Cabanas don't appeal to us. We will be on our honeymoon in May 2004. How would...

    Fireworks fro California Grill

I would leave the reservation otherwise you will likely have a problem getting seated for the fireworks. It is much nicer to have a leisurely meal and in my experiences there, the waiters do not rush you especially when they know you are waiting to see the fw. Enjoy your meal, drinks, and some...
