Every diabetics patient has totally different dietary needs so this is a question for their doctor or nutritionist. Each patient has a set amount of carbs that they can eat each meal and each day. There is no way any of can guess what those are.
Most people find that the plan offers too much food vs not enough. The portions are huge and most people do not eat 3 giant meals each day.
Using a snack credit for breakfast or lunch will probably work just fine.
I also agree! We ate lunch there at the beginning of our trip a few weeks ago and liked it so much that we went back for a 2nd lunch a week later. We thought it was well worth 2 credits, we almost went back a 3rd time for dinner!
We don't eat 3 big meals at home and don't on vacation either. We will either eat a late breakfast or an early lunch and then a table servie dinner at 7-8pm. We use our snack credits if we get hungry in the afternoon.
We had fresh fruit or sorbet for many of our desserts on our recent 10 night stay. We did not eat any "junk food" but we were on the deluxe plan which allowed us to choose more healthy options that were available at the table service restaurant.
We did love the tuna sandwich at Columbia...
I had a few bites of the grapefruit cake 2 weeks ago (too full to eat any more!) and I thought it was wonderful! We loved the Brown Derby, had lunch there twice during our trip, it was that good!
You can request a renovated room but it is only a request not a guarantee that you will get it. We stayed in Cabana 8A and really loved the location- about 5+ minutes to El Centro and just a quick walk to the Dig Site.
We had the totally opposite experience there. We both ordered the filet, medium rare and it was so tender that you could cut it with your fork- really! We did not have any sauce on the side nor do I remember it having any on it but it might have. I think for this cut, you really have to order it...
04/25- This was a pool day so we slept in and were lazy. We had lunch at the Pepper Market and it was fine for counter service. You do not get an appitizer here but we both had the chicken breast sandwich and a fruit plate. We took out lunches outside to the bar area and had a very nice meal...
04/22-Dinner- We arrived from Seattle late in the day so by the time we got our car and got to the resort it was late. We barely made our 8:15 ADR at the Maya Grill. This was our least favorite meal. They had just changed the menu the day before and it is totally different! The service was...
I didn't take notes or pictures but I will try to re-cap our meals the best I can remember. Myself and my husband were in the world from 04/22-05/02. We stayed at the CSR (fabulous!) and were on the deluxe plan. We either ate a late breakfast or an early lunch and then usually did a signature...
We just got back on Saturday and stayed at CSR. We ate lunch one day at the pepper market and you do not get an appitizer there with either lunch or dinner. We only ate there and Columbia House in MK for counter service and no appitizers at either.
Kat- I am confused! On another post you wrote that the 4th floors of Casitas 1,2 and 3 were finished. Can you confirm? We leave tomorrow and I want to be able to know for sure if the room that they assign us is a remodeled one.
Thanks!
Um, I hate to say that he is a chair hog (that is what they call it on the cruise forum!) if he is saving chairs for you when you are not there. You are not supposed to send anyone down to save chairs, you are supposed to go to the pool when you will be using those chairs. If you didn't show up...
You will need to make a reservation for any sit down restaurant, especially for a holiday like Mother's Day. I would get on the phone with them today, but I wouldn't be too surprised if there is nothing left at all. People make their ADRs 90 days in advance and the popular restaurants get booked...
I have never tipped upon checkout at any hotel anywhere. For me, the proper etiquette is to tip daily. Most hotels give you one envelope AT A TIME. When you use the first one, they leave another one for the next day.
