    Which Pearl Harbor Tour?

Lots of good advice here so I won't repeat it, but I did want to mention that purses, backpacks, etc. that are not necessary for medical reasons are not allowed in the Pearl Harbor National Memorial. You can check those items for a fee (can't remember if it is $5 or $10) at a concessionaire...

    Arizona and Utah—April vs July?

I live in Utah. April may be a little cool, or even cold, but July definitely will be HOT, as in likely over 100 degrees during the day. I would choose April over July.

Beware of Very Cold Lazy River

We're heading to Aulani tomorrow (yay!) I'll be a little disappointed if the lazy river isn't warm enough for me, but I"m not going to let it ruin my vacation. I did want to add though to the discussion regarding Disney not spending money to fix things. I work in food manufacturing. There...

Captain Henry retired earlier this year. Trent was our CD on the 9 night Southern Caribbean on the Fantasy last week.

Know Before You Go Updated - May 17 - Testing rule changes

For those in the US, the BinaxNOW Covid tests for travel are FSA/HSA eligible, so if you have an FSA or HSA you can use those funds to pay for those tests. I just purchased them for my upcoming cruise (using the link provided in a previous post) and was able to use my FSA card. Optum...

    Adult Activities Hosts

We absolutely loved Deano on the 2020 WBPC! He was one of the highlights of that cruise for us, along with CD Ashley and Asst CD (at the time, now he's a CD) Boy Band Mike.

Please help! Need quick Costa Maya suggestions!

When we stopped in Costa Maya on a cruise in October the water park at the port was closed. I just checked their website and it says they are still closed. We did the Chacchoben ruins and enjoyed them. I'm glad we didn't choose any beach or water-related excursions there - the water was rough...

Port Adventures Advice Pls: Cozumel & Costa Maya — the good, the bad, and the ugly

In Costa Maya a few months ago we did the excursion to the Chacchoben Mayan ruins. Like a previous poster said, the ride there isn't very interesting scenery-wise, however we did the small group excursion option so we were on a mini-bus (only 8 of us in the bus plus the driver and guide.) The...

DCL Europe Summer 2022 approaching - what are you doing?

Over the weekend we switched from a May 7 night Mediterranean cruise to the July 9-night Southern Caribbean. Even if the Med. cruise happens we don't want to take the chance of a positive Covid test that could leave us quarantined in Barcelona for two weeks. When I called DCL on Saturday to...

Purchasing DVC while on a cruise?

In the past few years the deals on board have been the exact same as the promotions on land, so no advantage to buying onboard in that aspect. We didn't buy when we were sailing so I don't know if there was any onboard credit given or not. Regarding dividing up the 150 points into two...

    Fantasy Ship Tour

We were on the Fantasy last week - no Art of the Theme ship tour was offered during our sailing.

    Are variety acts finally returning?

I don't know why some people don't care for John Charles but on some of my cruise social media groups there have been people who didn't care for him. I was so disappointed during the 2020 WBPC when we couldn't stop in Cartagena, since that is where John Charles was supposed to get on the...

I know some people don't care for him, but I'd love to have John Charles back on board.

    Question buying through direct

Last week we bought RIV with a Dec UY. I just told our guide that's what we wanted and I never got any pushback at all.

Beginning 9/13 All DCL Cruisers to Bahamas Must Take Covid Test at Port

It's in the third paragraph of the Sailings to The Bahamas September 3, 2021 until November 1, 2021 section of the advisory notice. It looks like it was just added in when they updated the advisory today for the Wonder sailings.

Beginning 9/13 All DCL Cruisers to Bahamas Must Take Covid Test at Port

Buried in the announcement about the Wonder resuming sailings is a notice that all DCL passengers to the Bahamas, regardless of vaccination status, must have negative results for Covid-19 from a test administered at the port by Inspire Diagnostics.

On at least one of the PC cruises the Wonder stopped in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, so might that be a port they could use to satisfy the "distant foreign port" requirement?

Information from DCL or lack of?

Regarding the additional test cruises on the Dream, I thought (and I could be wrong!) that the test cruises had to go to every port(s) to which the actual cruise(s) intend to sail. I believe the Dream didn't go to Nassau last week so that could be one of the reasons for the additional test cruises.

DCL Disney Magic At Sea UK Residents Only Sailing Summer 2021 General Information

A popular DCL blog is reporting that the sailings from Liverpool are no longer appearing on the DCL website. He has some speculation as to why but it is only speculation. It'll be interesting to see what happens....
