    Contacting Members Services

I've been trying to contact them and all I get is a busy signal (no voice response system). Both numbers are the same (800# and 407#). When are they expected to reopen for business? I need to pay my dues.

Large Group in the Dining Room?

We were married on the Magic 5 years ago and had a traveling party of 20 and we all sat at the same table every night. They can accommodate any number.

Looking to get a budget target for on board charges

Our 7 nighter was our Wedding Cruise. We got married on Castaway Cay. We went ALL OUT, and some. Spa, hair, makeup, nails for all the girls in the wedding party, and whoppin' it up all week long. We dropped tons on photos etc. While we had 20 in our wedding party (parents on both sides...

How to book on family members behalf?

We have always offered the use of our DVC to my nieces and nephews who have small children as we don't go as often as we used to, however none of them have ever even gone on a vacation before...until now. My niece has asked if it was possible to use our DVC for next November (2014) to take...

I need PINs for every member of my family in order to do on-line checkin!

Just use the last four digits of your home phone number for all the PINs. Same number, all can remember. Or, to insure no one ever forgets your birthday again, make it your birthday for everyone!

    Extra money making ideas

Hands down selling Avon! All of my profits go into the Travel fund. I still work full time, and it allows me to sell on my own time. Since it is such a recognized name, all I really need to do is leave brochures whever I go. I take three with me a day and my goal each day is to leave them...

    Mousekeeping.....Is it just me?

I love not having it. To me, as a DVC member, it feels more like "home" when I am the one tossing in a load of laundry at night, or doing the dishes. I feel like it is "my place" in the World and not a guest. It's like owning a condo on Mickey's property.

Need some wise advice...many years since purchase

Thank you! That was exactly the number crunching that I was looking for to make sense of it all. We'll stick with our current points and rent out if needed, or pay cash outright on a cruise and still have the points to use for an extended trip in the parks.

Which Deluxe Resort for a First Time Trip?

We just love the Boardwalk or the Yacht & beach. But more so the BW. We've stayed at them all except for the Animal Kingdom, but always come back to BW. The night life is better. After a long, hot day in the parks, we love to retreat back to the room and have a nice cup of coffee or a...

Taking our 4 year old for the first time

My advice from the "been there done that" side is make sure you video their entrance into the Magic Kingdom for the first time as well as any Character greets you come to. We took ours at aged 3 for the first time and missed a priceless moment that we all still talk about. At the time, he...

    Power washing prices.

We got so tired of hiring to powerwash our deck every year that we bought one of our own for less than it was to hire out. Now we do it ourselves and save the money for Disney :) Our only problem is I get "power wash crazy" and spend the day washing everything...deck furniture, large flower...

Star Wars Land at DHS (Thoughts)?

Oh, to sit in a replica Cantina in a town made to look like Mos Eisley while the band is playing.....one can dream. If they made a town, I'd have no problem getting my "non Disney fan" DH to go. He's a "hyper drive" Star Wars fan! Took me an hour to get him out of the gift shop at the end...

Need some wise advice...many years since purchase

We still go to DVC resorts from time to time and I don't want to sell my deed. I still want my children to be able to take their children to the resorts in the future. But would like to add some pts so that we have options on where we go in these "empty nest" years. 150 doesn't get us what it...

Need some wise advice...many years since purchase

What is "Davids"? PPS - Never mind, I found it. Not sure if I am comfortable renting out our points. Too much of a hassle. I like knowing that our rooms (and on DCL, our food as well) is a covered expense on our points and we don't have to worry about scrambling for cash or large...

Need some wise advice...many years since purchase

I need some of your advice. We currently own BWV at 150 pts with an October Use Year. I was a single Mom for a long time, and 150 pts was great for getting a Studio every other year. Many years later, kids are grown, and I am remarried now. Our traveling style has changed. DH and I...

    Names on memberships?

As stated earlier, I wouldn't put her on the deed, but add her as an Associate. There is a difference. As an owner, it costs money to add her to the deed. They need to do a title search on her and in some cases there are additional fees as well. On top of that, it is now real estate...

Now how about a lovely castmember thread?

My husband and I were married on the Disney Magic two years ago. Our On Board Wedding consultant, Andrea, couldn't have been a better pick for us. We traveled with a large group of 20 for the wedding. The only thing we requested from her when we started was a wheelchair for my father and...

Confirmed, official announcement - no official announcement about Star Wars Land!

Wouldn't it be fun to have lunch in the Cantina in Mos Eisley with the band playing?
