We chose Marriott's Ko Olina over Aulani in March for the same reason :) I do have a question though. If we walk over to Aulani do we have the ability to go to Papalua Shave Ice? Or can you not get within the pool area without a key/wristband? Thanks!

I second @maramarrie ... Boardwalk bakery would get my vote.

I always order the nachos (kids meal size usually) and ask for black beans instead of beef. I'm pretty sure you can do this with any of the entrees. I sometimes order a side of rice (I think it's 2.99) and add that to the nachos with toppings from the toppings bar. LOVE Pecos Bills :)

you are right. the only time we really saw them was at night. but ... once night fell they came out in packs ;)

so ... we just got home ... and all i have to say is .. i rode soarin' with 30 cheerleaders that screamed THE ENTIRE time. um... not exactly the "soarin experience" that i wasted a fastpass for :) they are in the parks and you'll know when you see them :)

i've seen it happen a couple times now where people have been able to catch Mickey and Minnie together at Chef Mickey's. However, this is obviously not a guarantee. More of a being in the right place at the right time.

we were just there and we didn't even have to wait near the exit. we just had to walk up to the exit and ask for a child swap ticket. so then after we got our ticket we would leave and just went back and used it later -- you just enter the fast pass line. it was really easy!!

do you use one car more than the other? a friend bought the britax for the car most often used and then bought a cheaper version for the other car. we have the britax roundabout -- after trying 2 others and i can tell you it is SO SO SO worth it! we paid around 180 something for ours ...

we just used some the day after we got them last week and they didn't even blink. all they look at is the time usually. so if you go after the time listed on the fastpass i don't think they'll examine it any further ;)

here's one for you. we got to the BC last thursday night. we didn't check in until late - after we had already had some fun. We got our keys and went to our room. they had checked us in to an already dirty room! there were dirty washcloths ... used water bottles... bed pulled back. and of...

this is obviously not the most common answer ... but we do that most everytime. it is just too much of a pain to collapse the strollers and get on the bus. so for the past few years that has been our way of doing it. that's why we hate going to AK ... because the only way to get there is the bus.

the only other thing is that it is a little bit loud. i think that is what startled my boys the most (3 and 1). as long as they are sitting close you'll be fine :) have fun!

we got an AP rate for the BC last october. we went the first week and we stayed concierge. we started out with a rate on a deluxe room and then changed it to a standard concierge room. so ... i know the discounts are out there :) ; HTH! sarah

we were just at the BC -- they don't have individual plastic bottles of water out. However, they did have out a big glass bottle of bottled water. They told us to use it to fill up our rubbermaid jugs. SO ... bring a rubbermaid 1 qt water jug -- or a few of them :) and just fill those up...
