Last week on the Fantasy - it was maybe a 10 minute wait once we entered the line. The tour companies know the drill, if you told them what ship you are on, they will monitor the flow and you will be fine.

Back home - and post cruise hangover is in full effect. No vacations currently planned - and THAT is disconcerting - although we've got a few irons in the fire that may help us cope! It was a great trip - I hope all of you have as many good memories as I do from the adventure.

Lots of cruise lines do it just fine sailing from Florida - except they go to different locations and longer cruises...not the same port over and over again...

They will start boarding around noon - give or take some time. You won't have to wake them for muster - but you will have to attend as will the child.

Im with the OP. It is a bad and undeserved reputation. Carnival is a fine product with better food than DCL and by far better itineraries and sailing options. And as has been mentioned - I can almost take two CCL cruises for one DCL. Yes - DCL is a classier product in some regards, but...

I did not realize Touchstone was in on that - score - that's an Oscar buzz film I want to catch. I rarely watch movies on cruises (too much else stuff I can't do at home!), but this might be worth the effort...

Princess is a fantastic product. It's not the same as Disney clearly, but where one zigs, the other zags. You will save a lot money if you work it well and you'll have a fantastic cruise. The newer or remodeled ships have a fun piazza that allows for a lot of small scale and smaller crowd...

Lots of reasons this does not occur. There are two ships jockeying for space each week and now the Magic and Fantasy are visiting as well, so space is not always available (the island can only hold one ship at a time). Also - overnights won't work as the place gets full of creepy crawlers...

If you booked through Disney - they will take care of this by the time you get to the ship. You will get tickets with directions in your stateroom. No worries - only cancel if you don't want to do the excursion...
