    Hurrican Charlie

Hey Everyone! I just talked to my Mom and Dad.... We were all in FW last week, but we came home, and they are now at Fort Wilderness Lodge (their own choice). She said that all parks are closing today at 1pm, and are only open until then to Resort Guests Only.... They went for a walk...

Chance to go to Disneyland...terrified of flying

I hear you!:( We went to WDW 7/31 to 8/8, and it was my first flight EVER! I was petrified.... I have to say it wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be, unnerving still. I can give you some advice as far as your 6yo is concerned anyway. My 5yo DS was crying hysterically when we...

    Ok,final deciding ? about cabins.Are they REALLY...

We just got back from our Cabin! Son 16, had double bed, daughters 15 & 13 had bunks, and they did have their own TV in the bedroom. DH and myself on the Murphy bed, and son 4 on the sofa, pulled up against the Murphy bed. We thought it was plenty of room! It helped that we were...

    Another shoe question...

Oh, I wanted to add also.....Advice I got from a "shoe expert"... Men's feet tend to be wider in the heel, so women generally end up with too much room in the heel of men's sneakers, causing them to slide around a bit and that makes for unstable ankles. So, I would make sure a men's fit...

    Another shoe question...

Have you tried on any Nike's??? I myself have a very wide foot, and when I can't find any wide widths that I like, I always have luck with medium Nike's. They seem to be wider in general. Good Luck!

    augost weather

We are leaving for WDW TOMORROW!!!!!:bounce: When we went in August 2002, it seemed to rain a bit every afternoon. Those Disney ponchos were just too bulky to carry around, they NEVER fold up the way they came:hyper: So, this year I went to Walmart and bought a whole bunch of the 87cent...

    Awning question?

We had plenty of room to put our awning out, I don't believe they are THAT tight.... But I can't speak for all the sites. We were in the 800 loop, and our group took up about 1/2 the loop. We all had plenty of space in the sites. The sites we had were nice and level, you park on a concrete...

Police and Firefighter Discounts - Would you support this?

I Agree!!! My husband and I are both Firefighter-EMT's and would love to see a discount. There are promotions now and then for teachers.... Both my parents are teachers, and they got a GREAT deal at the Swan this summer, I think 1/2 off or somewhere around there.

    Child Height Requirements

I thought I remembered hearing somewhere that you could have your child measured ONCE and that they were given a color coded bracelet for the attractions, so as not to keep measuring, etc.... Now I can't find where I heard this... Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, where it is...

    Travel Games

Thanks for the tip! I have one to add..... My 4yo DS just got "Road Sign Bingo" and "traffic bingo". They are bingo cards, instead of numbers, they are various highway signs and things you see on the road, no bingo chips to lose, they have clear-red windows that slide over the spaces...

Parking an RV at Royal Pacific

We didn't call ahead. My husband just went inside to check in, and they never even asked what we were driving! There was a parking charge per night on our bill, believe it or not, but that wasnt because of the motorhome, as my parents had it on their bill also, and they had a car. Can't...

Parking an RV at Royal Pacific

We went to Disney in July of 2002, and while there, took our Class C 29' motorhome over to Royal Pacific for 3 days with no problem. They have a HUGE parking lot in back. Have Fun! The express pass for hotel guests was awsome!:sunny: Peggy in CT
